@tumadoireacht Why don't you check out some of the other songs she's done that are not in this style? I think you'll find that rockabilly is a small part of what she does. I was particularly impressed with her version of Wexford Carol from an RTE show last Christmas. It certainly opened my ears to her vocal abilities.

I first saw Imelda May last night on the Grammy Awards show when she teamed with Jeff Beck to sing that tribute to the late Les Paul. Imelda channeled Paul's wife Mary Ford on their classic "How High The Moon".

It's amazing what a nationally televised show can do for talent, it's only a shame CBS didn't running identifying captions on the screen. Nice to learn that this Irish talent was only undiscovered in my mind.
