Wow Amazing Ending!!! Any one know if there making more It would be awesome if they did. Im still kinda shaky on the Getting to know the show it confusing about cruxis and mithos and yggadrasill and all that im still trying to get the the story all i guess u have to play the first game im asume.But still awesome show and awesome game i havnt finished it yet but i and getting closer

The first ending I saw was the bad one...so, I was really dissappointed and very sad. But my brother finished the game after me and we watched the good ending together. I swear, it really touched me way down deep inside of me to see that Marta and Emil finally become happy and get together...I love the warm embrace at the end...I cannot imagine a better ending...just beautiful. I can only say, that it is the most beautiful and the most touching game I have ever played in my entire life.

I personally loved Dawn Of The New World. I'm not really sure why it gets such poor reviews. Its clear that Namco made the game to cash in on Symphonia fans and gave it a very limited budget. But that doesn't make it a poor game: heck, I barely touched the first Tales of Symphonia (played it for about 2 hours, and then shelved it), but I still enjoyed TOS 2. Emil was a great main character, and people tend to forget he's SUPPOSED to start off wimpy and spineless, and work his way up from there.
@DarkArcz I tottaly agree with you, despite the fact that I still don't like Emil xD, but apart of that, probably the reason that ToS 2 got bad reviews was because of ToS 1 got such an excelent one that this game wasn't as good as the first one (I disagree, i really enjoyed this one more than the 1st one) it's different because of "pokemon" system and because you cannot grow the other human characters (tales fan didn't like this) anyway, good history, good sequel, good game indeed. @TRPfilms Yeah. But essentially it's the same as the good ending, minus the scene between Richter and Ratatosk, where Ratatosk is allowed to go out and live as Emil.

For any people worried about getting the bad ending, the only way you can get the bad ending is if you kill Marta and Lloyd at the end of the game. If you let them kill you, you will get either normal or good endings. Also, the bad ending you do not want to get, it is the equal to a game over. You have to start from your last save point if you get the bad ending.
They kissed back in Altimira though, even if it wasn't directly on-screen. They may have been kissing when the camera was panning way at the very end. It's kind of hard to tell.
I loved this ending! Its hard for me to admit this, ( being a guy) but it was cute. It makes you feel good on the inside, like you actually experienced it in real life.(wishful thinking)
Go after Alice first, she can heal both herself and Decus. Turn off all of Marta's front-line techniques and save your bars for her Mystic Arte, which will heal you. Once you get Alice down enough it will get harder to interrupt her while she's casting Heal, so use a Unison Attack if you and your monsters hacking at her just won't cut it. Once Alice is off the table, just triple-team Decus and the rest will go easy. Make sure you have 20 of all healing gels too, except the expensive ones.
And so they're going to live happily ever after.... Both the knight and the princess.... Ahhh... what a simple yet meaningful and wonderful ending to see 2 love birds finally meet each other again.... I'm happy to see them.

If you ever play the game, have emil,marta, and sheena in a party, then have sheena kill the last monster. It will be hilarous. If not, go look up Tales of Symphonia lol.
From here, the Tales of symphonia would probably start a new set of characters.
Yes, Emil did defeat Ratatosk, but it wouldnt make Ratatosk go away, he did have the power to destroy Emil after all, Emil proved his worth, and was allowed to stay with Ratatosk.
I don't think Ratatosk mode Emil will be gone. :) As Marta had Ratatosk's core form, both Emils still appeared. However the only dilemma would be whether or not Marta's was a fake one as opposed to the one Riechter gets.
Personally, I'd like to see Phantasia re-done in a way that makes more sense. The DS ending was quite confusing as to what the actual message of the story was.
If they ever make yet another sequal I hope Emil stars in it. Its awesome that he isnt trapped with the demon doors for eternity, but will sure miss his Ratatosk "Dark-Side".

the beginning of the credits is kinda depressing... it gives a quaint feeling.
its so wonderful that the bad ending simply doesn't fit. it made me cry the first time...

I love all Tale games, most enjoyable RPG games ever.
I always hate when there is new main characters in a good game, but i loved emil and marta. I love the pictures in the credits.
