Reason 5: EA stole almost everything from UFC undisputed.

i think Undispuited 2010 is more technical with more options, especially on the ground... I was slightly disappointed with this, i thnk they could have added more depth to the ground game, but i do like certain things like grabbing ur opponents arm on the ground and the parrying is nice. I do think Ufc is the better game tho, but its decent for EA's first attempt
I'm sorry but the game isn't that great. Despite the fluid motions you see the game control is way simple making very little options of move sets compared to undisputed. Also there are things about the game that aren't realistic like damage quickly recovering over time. I mean if you like extremely simple and easy arcadey games (which most actually do like) like might be the perfect mma game but to me it's not all that great.
@tman229 the strike health is perfect it takes away from the arcade feeling you get from games like fight night or both ufc games in ea mma you can just stand around and trade shots without head movment you must slip move hit and slip and hit and move its not two guys just standing and button mashing and in the full game online i dont think you can see the other players health so you would have to readthe the other fighter not just look at there health
@drugwhore In EA MMA i can get hit like 200 times in the first round and as long as I dont get hit with enough combos to keep replenishing my health over the extremely small chance of getting KO I can take enough 200 hits without a. increase chance of me being finished. Then I can take another 200 in the third round. That is not real. The more hurt you are, the bigger the chance of getting finished and your damage doesn't just go away over a quick amount of time. EA MMA is arcade.

I can take even more head kicks and as long as I back away enough for my head health to fill back up then I can take 10 more.I've never yet ended a fight with a headkick alone. In gameplay footage, I rarely see someone end it with a head kick alone. Only thing EA MMA has that seems more real is there motions for ground game and the rock sequence. Everything else is sub par and not realistic at all.
@tman229 i dont know who your playing but my brother can play ea mma and he trys to over power me with punching and all i do is snap back the left stik and just pop out a head kick if he walks into it then its lights out i have knocked him out with one head kick befor i also knocked him out with a jab and a spining back fist with my first two shots in the first round
@drugwhore If you only knocked him out twice as you indicated then it doesn't prove that every head kick knocks everyone out. It just proves that instant KO is in the game which is the same for undisputed. Point is, you can get head kicked in the game and survive serveral times. Reason your head kick KO'ed him was because it was a counter and counters does more damage and have a bigger chance of KO'ing just like undisputed. Same with the combo you explained. The big difference is

This game looks like it plays way better than UFC Undisputed, Dana should strongly consider putting the UFC & WEC fighters in the EA Sports game with Strikeforce, Dream & Sengoku. UFC Unleashed has the roster & MMA has the better gameplay apparently.

Glad to see you got a video on this. I'm digging this game as well. Grown-man five minute rounds, rings, Pride style rules, and international fighters like Alvarez and Crusher Kawajiri. This game is going to be great.
The graphics are awesome, the controls are alright, I guess. My only beef with this game is it's too damn slow! My grandmother could sprawl on a guy shooting in that lazy. I suppose they've made it this way so that people will have the time to counter. But, come on. MMA is so much about explosive movement and they've taken all that away in this game. Not the biggest fan, but it's alright I guess.

what i dont like about this game is that there isnt any flash knockouts or you just do what rashad did to chuck or throw combos then Ko the dude in this game when you drop him you have to continually hit him for the fight to stop. thats one thing UFC undisputed did well was the KOs

@avansies Yeah I got caught with a head kick as I was throwing a haymaker and it was a Flash KO. I went straight out! Game needs some tweak but has alot of potential.
I'm really shocked by the amount of people that are pleased with the demo and think it's better then ufc... haha. This game is so shitty, robotic, and un-smooth. The only good thing about this game is what dolivejj said that you can have a match.

You can flash KO someone. I laid out Lashley stiff from a head shot. Dude fell back arms and legs tensed up. It was crazy.
