No, I have never run into a quicksand. I've never even seen one here.
Can't get lost with a GPS & always have my mobile phone handy just in case something goes pear shape. I can call the Mrs or a friend, who will load my location into their GPS & then drive out to help me.
It takes a lot of practice to get to my level of dune buggying. I don't think of it as dangerous at all but just a challenge. There is an element of risk particularly when driving out to my usual buggying patch.
