Way to slow and its not a solo theres a bass drum part and a fife part. And also the rolls dont have to be sloppy. The 7 stroke and the 15 stroke are both on a triplet and a sextuplet, respectively; there not unmetered as you suggesting.

i'm the guy in the middle between the guy in the blue and grey. This was in New Rochelle, but I live in the county next to it. The sound quality is bad, but the piece is great, good luck at the festival! Also, check this piece out: Drum Corps On The March by Jay Wanamaker. This will challenge you, I have to play this in NYSMMA, it's a level 5 piece.

it's an echoey auditorium, and I know that we're supposed to do ratimacues (how ever u spell that) and have the 7 stroke roll be as open as possible, but that place was echoey and the other people playing the piece didn't know what that meant.
