But i have one question. I am using backtrack 5 on my dell inspiron 6000, booted from a USB storage device. But i can't get the network connection to work. Any tips? It says "No wirelss connections found" in wicd network manager, and when i boot the computer, it says: "Network devices failed to register".

i can't tell u ow many times i followed ur steps and it doesn't work god video though i think its because u just said enter ur encryption key is that your wpa2 password?

I have userID & password required USB wifi dungle. And today i installed VMware workstation, BT3 and it was successful. And when i connect wifi adapter to VMware it would unplugged from host PC right? and its connected to VMware and its nothing happened. i think i should enter doungle's ID,pass. where can i enter ID,pass on VMware. please help mee

hey when i go to run the command 'sudo iwconfig wlan0 mode managed' backtrack sais

'Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :

SET failed on device wlan0 ; Device or resource busy.'

What do i do??

Hey Buddy, is there any other command we could use to DeauThenticate a computer in other to get WPA handshake, other from aireplay-ng or any other to force it, i been trying it but i have no luck in the deauthentication
