Hi Jann, I wanted to thank you for this video, I was searching for a good one to make this type card and luckily found yours. I subbed to your channel and read a little of your blog. I have a great (great to me) tip for scoring that middle panel. Hook up the envelope contraption to the MS scoreboard, and it makes this part so easy. I scored AFTER I cut and trimmed the two 1 1/2 inch sides and it made it easier to see where to line up the score. Try it, you'll see what I mean...thanks again
Thank you for the tutorial. I am going to use it to put a gift card in. I usually don't do gift cards because they seem so impersonal, but I don't know what else to get this person. So putting it in a box card like this makes it personal.
@milady1957 Oooo - I think this would be PERFECT for a gift card! Seriously....love the idea for those people that you just have to end up getting gift cards for....still very PERSONAL! Have fun and hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
@babyblueagle1 So glad you stopped by! I want to always give credit to whoever has inspired me...of course it would help if my brain would cooperate with my intentions and actually REMEMBER where the "spark" came from! LOL You are right - the tape is Scor-Tape. I love it because it is the same as red liner (terrificallly tacky tape) - but you can tear it....which means I don't gunk up my scissors. Happy Thanksgiving!
Ooh Jann!! This is marvelous!! So many possibilities for surprises!! I "LOVE" it very much!! Your other cards are amazing...each one is a piece of art! I really need to try some of this cardmaking business! Thank you so much for the continuing to inspire! Have a fantastic weekend!...Nancy :o)
@nickelnook1 Hey Nancy...you DO need to join the ranks of the card makers! You are so talented and creative, I know that you will give us lots of inspiration! I only recently decided that I COULD make cards -- so from one tentative cardmaker to another...give it a go - it is LOTS of fun! Thanks for your encouragement...have a great weekend yourself!
@JandSib80 Thanks Sib! You know that I have only RECENTLY joined the ranks of "cardmakers" - so I really appreciate the encouragement! Have a great weekend!
Those are the coolest thing ever! I also love the fact that it leaves me with very few scraps - I may even be able to make myself throw those little pieces away! My color sorted scrap folders are too full already! I'm going to go check out that YT channel you referred to - I want her on my subscriber list! Thanks so much!
@maureencmathis Maureen...I LOVED that about it too...I am on a "get rid of all the extra stuff haunting my studio" phase...and felt not one bit guilty about throwing those tiny squares out. Plus...the front is a great place to use up some of my other scraps!
@Scrappinology Gina..I do the same thing...hit the post when I still have things to say...I think my fingers get ahead of my brain WAY too often! haa haa! Thank you for your kind words.... My scrubby is doing very well....we are so blessed....gets stronger everyday and there is no rejection of the transplant!
