Does anyone remember there being a DragonBall movie? I remember seeing this intro in it and many of the seens in this aren't show in the regular dragonball series.

This is actually the original american version. You see back in 1995 Funimation had the license for this and distributed this to western english speaking countries. But Canada has a stupid content law which mean anything voiced in a Canadian studio must be given credit to or something . BLT Productions who used the same voice talent as Ocean Studios was responsible for the dubbing and Funimation the production and shit.

@ImmaGTBaby This is Funimations 1995 opening. Ocean didn't dub it, BLT productions did but Saffron Henderson was in this so you may have confused that. Also Canada has this weird content law so anything recorded their is Canadian. Same with the 1996-1998 Funimation/Saban version produced in association with Ocean Studios.

I love this one due to the guitar background, it just seems perky but not Corney like Canada's version. To me i think it fits perfectly fine.

And lastly I grew up with this version so this is the favorite out of all DB opening. If they revised this as a Japanese opening...woah, i think it would be even better then the U.S Version.

This is the opening I remember most, and it's damn catchy too. This was back in the day when companies, Sabin in this case, actually took the time to rewrite the music to a show. I guess it still happens now, but the earlier days have a nostalgia feeling to it.

Other examples of this would be Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and Tekkaman Blade 2 (Techno Man in USA).

So, America got over-the-top lyrics designed solely to complement over-the-top guitar solos; Japan got the cliched "weird Japanese intro" that was typical of late 80's anime; and Canada got something similar to a fusion of the Gummi Bears intro and the second Pokemon intro. Okay, now was that "douche" comment really necessary? All you had to do, was simply say it was the one that originally aired in the U.S. I said that it was an "alternate" version, because that one was unfamiliar to me (despite the fact that I live in the U.S.). The only one I've ever seen, aside from the Toonami intro, was the normal intro, which is exactly the same as the Japanese intro, with the only difference being the fact that it's in English.

I was just browsing around Google one time, after typing "King Piccolo" in the search engine, and I ended up coming across a site that contained Dragon Ball intro videos.
