Try going down the stairs at firelink shrine, there are two I never noticed the second one myself, and go down to the "new Londo" I believe and then to the right should be a flight of stairs to drake valley. Next to where you enter there should be a wooden bridge and then an entrance to Blighttown. It's the easier way lol.

But blighttown just sucks ass. But it's still more forgiving than valley of defilement.

Because the blighttown wood part has less traps, the swamp is smaller, and you can actually see 2 feet in front of you with no assistance in blighttown.

P.S there are Leeches that drop Large Titanite Shards which allow you to upgrade your weapon to plus 10 and are pretty common drops aswell as Green titanite shards 5 at a time :D

Ghost, have you heard of the Rusty Iron Ring? you get it when you return to the undead asylum which isnt hard. now the ability it grants you is that it allows you to move fast in water..which is a must have in the lower level in blight town.

and you have to pass through a stream of poison water to get to a bon fire...

i made it through blight town to the bon fire within 1-2 hrs i think. i moved veryyy slow...good luck though!! bro :)

The issue you have here is that you don't backstab the big guys. You can actually go behind them and backstab them.

Oh, and btw, if you need mosses, you can farm the area of DarkRoot Garden where the stone knights are. Lots of treemen so lots of mosses. I entered Blight Town with 99 pieces of purple moss :-) I think i spent about 40 in all.

Just as a 'pro-tip', when you go to get a couple of hits in, switch the katana to two-handed, you do way more damage that way. Just remember to switch back to sword/shield when you need to start blocking again :-)

hey ghos, you passed the first bonfire - it was behind you on the stone bridge... the one with the 2 lizard peeps and the blowdarter that poisoned you? yeah, its back the way you came on the same platform. just gout from the cave where the big dung pie guy was and go up 2 ladders and you'll be back on the stone bridge. follow it all the way around to the left and you'll see the campfire

Tips: buy moss from girl in sewer tunnel. She also sells items to buff your weapon with poison & lightning if you're into that. I recommend buying magic weapon for your katana, or magic shield to help defend defend against attacks. Hope this helps

You can go to blight town through the cave in the valley of the drakes too, I find that way to be a lot easier, you were in that cave a few episodes back, but you saw that big guy charge you and ran off somewhere screaming.

Look for stability in shields to reduce stamina drain. Also poise is an attribute to keep your swing or spell after a hit.

Ghost - you are running into problems because you are rushing through the area. The key to blight town is advancing slowly, pulling enemies one or two at a time in order to avoid ambushes. ALSO - using the master key to surpass blight town is a cop out. Please like so that he sees this.

If you're having problems with dying quickly, go back to Firelink, head down stairs and kill the guy in the golden armour, he's rather tough and it took me a few attempts, but he gives an amazing ring that increases health, stamina and equip load, definitely worth it.

Ghost! Enter Blighttown through the bottom of firelink shrine near New Londo Ruins. Three big guys with bang bang clubs, no darts right off the bat, and it puts you past all the ridiculousness near the boss fight. Also, and VERY KEY!!! Once you kill the blow dart guy, he is gone for good. They do not respawn...

the back entrance is way easier, and it goes straight to the bottom where you can fight the boss and ring the bell. there's even an elevator that takes you part of the way. :-)

back entrance is from firelink to new londo ruins to valley of the drake through the cave on the right.

The quicker path requires the master key. You have to take the elevator down to the New Londo Ruins from Firelink Shrine. Instead of going to the new Londo Ruins immediately go right and walk up a spiral staircase. There should be an iron door that you can open with a master key. If you take a small path to your right you can access blighttown and an easier path.

Ghost Go to fire link shrine, go down to Valley of the Drakes. Take the little cat walk, turn right, go through the tunnel that scared you in a previous episode. It takes you to Blight town, and the best thing is you only have to take on 3 of those big dung pile dropping goons. (not all at the same time) Its the easiest and best way to blight town.

Blighttown is a major b**ch! However, it does get easier. Been down there about 4 times now and don't mind it now. Hated it the first couple of times. Going down again one last time, so I can enable the Ninja flips for my character. Take as much Purple or blooming Moss as you can. Find the Shadow Armour and use Poisonbite ring if you got it, from oswald of carim. As you get a huge amout of poison resist. Beware of the giant mosquitos that continuously respawn, when you get near to the bottom.

You can skip almost all of Blighttown and straight go to the boss there trough New Londo Ruins and valley of the Drakes

Just Go Down the stairs near the Fire Keeper in FireLink Shrine

Proceed to the Lift take it down to New Londo

Then Run to the Right up the stairs you should see locked gate open that whit a Masterkey

Boom shortcut to the bottom of the Blighttown
