I saw her perform this back in the day at Caesars Bay in Brooklyn. I don't know why she didn't become bigger. She still looks great but not into the death goth metal thing she does now. I like "Open Up Your Heart" better but this is a great song also.
Had the pleasure of meating her back in '88 when she came to club I worked in at the time. Came across the vinyl she signed for me the other day, and was mad as no longer have vinyl player, so had to find it on here, and glad I did. Great tune.
OmG!!!I caant believe i finally found this great hit! Have been searching for long and i cant believe i still know the lyrics to it! Brings back beautiful memories !!!Thx
This song reminds of a friend that Is related to her ( his name was Mike). I always wonder what became of him. I used to go out with his friend Felix.....It reminds me of alot
Been looking for this song forever! Had the spelling wrong, could never find it. Even the Freestyle CD I have had it spelled "Reanna" Thanks for posting!!!
This song is so awesome and big time old school. I'm so happy to find it here. Especially, since I saw her perform it @ Pallidium when I was 14 years old. Here's a toast to the good old days...SALUD!
I first met Raiana at the old Palladium. She performed Rescue Me that night. Her act was impressive, choreographed by Frank Reyes. Until she came along, other performers of the time did not implement the theatrical concepts used in her act, nor did they seem to posses her level of discipline, projection and style. As I got to know her she enriched my life. *** Raiana, if you read this, call me at the end of Sept, 2009. Im in the residential 212 listings. Lets do lunch at 50 street and Bway.
Hey before Rianna...there was Rianna Paige! Great song-very sensual vocals. It's just a very catchy well constructed dance/pop song. I have 2 versions of this on a couple of different freestyle compilations.
One of the best (voice, lyrics, and sound) contributors to the "Latin Freestyle" era--even if there were only two hits! Thanks, Raiana for your contribution!
one of the best freestyle hits ever , the voice ,the music , i thought at first its the "cover girls" and i was looking for the hit everywhere under " the cover girls" . i think this hit should have been a number one at least on the dance charts.

Yeah I'm Proud of this record, Raiana gave it a sultry feel. Brenda K Starr did the demo for this song and she did a great job too.

Yeah I agree.
And I'd say she had three hits:
1.) 'Open Up Your Heart' (old skool, 1988)
2.) 'Rescue Me' (old skool, 1990)
and
3.) 'You're My Only Man' (new skool, 1993)

Yeah, in a band called KHZ. I'd call that a pretty drastic change...
