In the minutes to talked about countycomm, you could have placed the camera so we could see your face. Not that i DIED because of nothing happened, other that this green bag and you speaking, but i just think it would be more entertaining and you know, better :)

Great video. I'm considering to get one but I can't choose between black and od green. What's your advice on color of the bob bag? If you have any advice it would help out alot thanks.

@MrSecuritydave I just bought a black one. I got black because its a good color for blending in and also cause my brother has coyote brown and I want to be able to tell the difference. Color is more a matter of personal preference and unless you are going to a specific place ie. Desert = Coyote Brown then there is no reason color should matter too much.

whatever you take with you in a bail-out-bag or even survival kit, I think the main and most important item next to a knife, flint, waterfilter, rope and whatnot is some silver and gold coins.

why if it was bad enough for people not to consider money then society has broken down and then i would invest the silver, gold coins in a gun cause people will be turning on each other

You think about this from a perspective of someone who lives in a country where it is (still) legal to own guns. Although you might considder carrying some concealed firearm for personal protection, I believe it goes totally against a Bug Out Bag philosophy to include firearms for anything else; bugging out means getting out of trouble asap not in to it..

Silver/gold coins are the best barter/trade item cause a total currency devaluation is very possible and would render paper money useless.

Im from Ireland cant even own a hunting rifle or shotty so your wrong and im saying that the chaps who have the guns will more than likely end up with your gold and you will have nothing. And i dont agree with you hinting that im some gun nut who didn't get the concept of the BOB..... I do and clearly i didn't suggest putting a gun in your BOB but gold = pointless and just as over the top as a gun. If gold is needed in the situation then a gun is just as vital.

Why this may be true. The lighter only works so long. The gun only has so many shells. I would carry those things to but not JUST those items. The lighter will break, need fuel, and/or flint. The gun will need cleaning, and ammo. Not to mention if there is a situation where one needed to "bail out" then one must be prepared for anything: first aid, fighting/riots, hungry people, flood, criminals, as well as natrual hazards.

Not being an ass just saying you may want to rethink, but great start.

easy enough to carry a flint and steel on your keychain and can hunt or just trap if you dont have a gun, shelter is easy enough to make if you need to.

I would suggest you to invest in a larger frame backpack or a regular large backpack. I carry one stocked at all times along with my Suzuki DRZ-400S in the garage just waiting for something to happen..

I agree, very heavy duty, I have a cheaper than dirt version of this bag, od green, and it is tough, but I accidentally left it where it got jammed into my car's wheel well, how I have no idea. It suffered many tears and holes, but survived and protected my stuff inside, nothing got broke including my ipod. It still serves as my edc today, but is a little "worn".

I've been carrying that same bag or at least the clone for a couple months now. One thing my bag has that I'm not sure yours does is a concealed area for a weapon. It has velcro on one side to attach a tactical style universal holster.

I carry my bag daily for my job. Two cell phones, rope, book, notebooks, extra business cards, etc. Great great bag. Sturdy as hell.

Thanks to your video, I got me one too! Did you also have an inside "Maxpediton-type off" holster inside the secret pocket?

The whole bag is a very good investment considering its price and its features compared to maxpedition prices. Of course mine was much more expensive, but I live in Germany so the shipping costs were much higher! But anyway its a good bargain!

Sweet review; I'm gonna buy one for toting around the academy. Do you think it would fare well with a full size textbook and a 1.5"binder? In other words, would the main pocket take a standard 8.5x11 piece of paper with room to spare?

Yes, a standard sheet of paper fits in this bag...I just took my own measurement and from bottom to top on the inside of the main pocket its a hair over 9" tall with the top zippo even (it cna move another inch up if needed) and a tough over a foot long/wide...

Yes, I think it would, but it might just make it, countycomm also sells another bag called the force multiplier, made by the same company (maratac) that looks to be taller, like it woudl fit a laptop even better...That ones $69, but its a bigger bag...
