iMovie vs 3 good editors(Free on Linux I like KdenLIVE ) need to buy fo Win

GarageBand vs not my area but Audacity for Linux and Win

iWeb vs 5 good / better web development tools on par with $700 apps Linux and good equivalent free editors on Win, just not as good as some on Lin

So dose it have value, yes. But how much is per installed vs getting the one you want worth? Both Win and Linux have equivalent apps.

@TheShowThatSUX I'll let most of that go because it seems legit, but I've played with audacity and it's not for music creation, but for recording and editing. Audacity cannot do what Garageband can do.

And no equivalent apps are really out there (although I've been searching for a long while). Nothing is an exact equivalent.

I will ask a round and see if any one who is in to making Music can contribute something on that. Sine I am not a DJ nor make my own music I cant really talk intelligence on that.

Maybe this is one of the nitch things OS X dose better because of a piece of software Apple only makes for OS X

You are missing the point. Windows is about giving values to the customers. Apple is about providing coolness to the customers. High price of Macs is part of coolness. Reasonable price of PCs are part of values.

There is no point comparing PCs and Macs, they are made for different purposes. I use both.

high prices or overpriced machines.. Apple cheeped out on their machines and sell them as state of the art while it isn't , , do you think it is really worth to pay over 1000 dollars for a mac mini , while I can get a good quality machine for less then 1000 , which out performs the mac mini..

think about it.. It is all about the bling bling and the beautiful white color.. I hold a IPad in my hand and it felt really cheap...Ithink it would fall in 100 pieces when I drop it.

Yes it is worth it to me! Because of its all around quality. The look, the feel, the speed, I need to have speed for what i do as a job. That is why i spend the money i spend on a computer. i know there are other Pc's that can work just as well for someone else. Im just inspired by apples quality and perfection. If i did not have the money to spend on one. I would have to go for the next best thing even if it is a pc... Good comparisons. Thanks

the memory controller of dual core i5s and i7s is the 1066mhz ...at least according to wikipedia and the intel website.

but u are still right about MBPs being overpriced.

your right while the FSB was removed you still have the limitation of a memory controller. I over looked that thanks for correcting me.

Well maybe they will upgrade the ram in the Mac Pro then as the newer Xeon do not have that limitation. I will just wait and see.

@TheShowThatSUX actually they are the older ones. The quad core mobile i7s were released october 2009 as the dual core i3s i5s and i7s were released january of this year.
