Take the concluding voiceover, "What did Kay Hagan promise in return," followed by the recorded female voice, "There is no God!" Dole never explicitly claims that's Kay Hagan's voice (its not) but she's clearly hoping that we misinterpret it as Hagan's voice. That is what I find most offensive; that Dole is hoping we aren't thoughtful critics.

This is an interestingly cynical use of political rhetoric. There are no overt lies, but the ad clearly ask viewers to misinterpret its assertions. Take the concluding voiceover, "What did Kay Hagan promise in return," followed by the recorded female voice, "There is no God!" Dole never explicitly claims that's Kay Hagan's voice (its not) but she's clearly hoping that we misinterpret it as Hagan's voice. That is what I find most offensive; that Dole is hoping we aren't thoughtful critics.
