my torx t8 bit has a smoothed off end. on the xbox controller, the screws have a stupid little metal dot in the middle and the screw wont fit!! WTF

i have a Torx T8, made by Kobalt....and its not even able to get into the screw to undo because that medal dot is in the middle.

dude how can u use the flat head cause i got a very small one and it wont fir pluse ob mine the screw is like a cog with a cylinder thing in the middle so enen if i had a smaller screw drive it would not fit

I believe he forgot that you needed a t8 screwdriver that has a security screw. its like an indent in the t8 otherwise use a 2.0 mm flathead

Yea i no but i made one using a VERY SMALL flat head and used a grinder to make it fit between the slots now it works! :D

@xD774 Point of buying a Torx T8 on eBay is to avoid having to buy the set.. most places sell Torx Security screwdrivers in a set which costs $15-$30. Why buy the whole set when you can buy one for $3?
