  • i dont really hear the comparison, but i think that Electric Chapel sounds like Barracuda :x

  • I thought the exact same thing when I heard this.

  • This is so true.

  • When I heard this song I thought the same thing. But when she made this album she was influenced by Whitney and Madonna which would explain the similarities.

  • Fashion of his love is mashed up with another song called greatest.

  • @kirkchukalas

i dont see the same thing there si if but you do sing good

  • Lady Gaga said it herself that she was inspired by 80's disco chords and reinvented them for her new record Born This Way... I don't get why people freak out about it?

Black Eyed Peas rip off everybody and everything and they don't get crap for it.

    Stupid.

  • @IsaacElleDot BEP do get the crap. Also, their popularity and ratings are down since they started producing crap music. As for Gaga - yes, she reworked the 80's, but the album sounds like a bunch of copy and paste jobs, and it doesn't sound modern, it sounds like the 80's, and it's not the 80's!!! :D

  • And also sounds like exspress your self by Madonna!!!! The beginning...

  • Lady Gaga wrote songs for Whitney Houston too?

  • You are very pretty and have an amazing voice , don't really hear the similarity though

  • It's just similar production. "Fashion of His Love" was Gaga's tribute to Alexander McQueen and Whitney Houston. That's why the production is so '80s and cheesy. It's supposed to sound like Whitney.

  • It's not just the chorus it's the entire song and all! I love bot songs equally but come on, the beats are identical from beginning to end!

  • @rogerrogerduh both^

  • I totally Agree with this comparison.

  • I guess Lady Ga Ga's creativity only goes so far. Yes, definitely the same - even if the words are different.

  • i <3 gaga

  • i dont think they are alike i think gagas has kinda a inspirtion of whitneys songs in that time and the song was based on alexander mcqueen when he died so they habve not the same meaning paws upp if you agree

  • It sounds sooo similar!!!

  • I think you are an amazing singer. I LOVE this video, and you are stunning. I love both songs.

  • @SeXiVaMpToNi Thank you!! I have other covers and originals on my channel, so check it out and let me know what you think!

  • You're right, they definitely sound a lot alike. Both songs also sound like Cyndi Lauper's Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun.

  • I was literally about to post Fashion Of His Love on my facebook page and say how much I feel like it's the modern day I Wanna Dance With Somebody when I found this video looking up the audio for Fashion Of His Love. Can't say I'm disappointed in how similar it is though because I love both songs so much!

  • yeah it definitely does... my first thought when I heard it >_<

  • i was listening to this song at the gym and immediately heard whitney in it, sad that the world has to try to reproduce something that has already 'been' great vid comparison

  • @KIRKCHUKALAS thanks!

  • The key change is also a direct rip!

  • Oh my god. PROOF of PLAGIARISM: THREE ELEMENTS OF MUSICAL COMPOSITION: HARMONIC LOGIC, TONE, AND VALUE. MUSICAL STRUCTURE WAS BLATANTLY COPIED. ANY TRAINED EAR OR MUSIC MAJOR WOULD KNOW THIS!

When you sang on top of the track, that sealed the deal. Thank YOU!!!

  • @blognewb

If Gaga is plagiarizing, then so did Whitney.

  • @phoskins Uh, nope, Whitney did not copy I wanna Dance with Somebody from anything. She did not sample.

  • @blognewb

I Wanna Dance with Somebody's chorus is extremely similar to Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Gaga didn't sample for Fashion of His Love, she just wrote a very similar hook. It's a classic 80s sound that's in more than just those two songs. This isn't new information.

  • @phoskins #1- The chorus of I Wanna Dance with Somebody sounds NOTHING like Girls Just Wanna Have Fun....at all. You're reaching with that. The only similarity is the light-hearted 80s pop sound.

#2- Whitney didn't write IWDWS, nor did the sample anything, so what did she plagiarize?

  • I thing its just same on the Chords ?? But From tone and intonatioan its totaly diffrent :D

By the way.. watch my vids sing this song,, and what your comment :D

  • LOL WAT NO. They're just as similar as any other two songs put side by side. I think people worry waaay to much about this kind of crap. :p

  • What ill say is this , yes that's what it sounds like, BUT remember that GaGa thanked Whitney for being one of her biggest influences with this album so I feel like its a unique GaGa song but it pays tribute to someone who has paved the way for artist today and I will say I have listened to the " Born This Way" album in it entirety and I am NOT disappointed, accually far from it , I'm kinda addicted to it!

  • @besttiefriend yea, good point! Totally forgot about that whole thanking whitney thing! Makes sense. I just thought I'd post this since people were talking about it. Thanks for watching

  • @besttiefriend You are giving excuses AFTER excuses of Gaga's PLAGIARISM. She keeps on spitting out BLATANT copycats from other artists. Don't be a fanatic or a stalker fan, that is how religion is formed. WAKE UP!

  • @besttiefriend

Yeah I was iffy about this album when it first came out but I listened to it at work and now I'm totally hooked. My sister said it sounded like Gaga was living in our basement (my room) b/c I was blaring the CD.

  • the chorus is actually from her old demo "Earthquake"

  • I thought that RIGHT when I heard it. TOTALLY agree, but I do like it too

  • Haha okay, so I'm not the only one who thought of this.

  • I couldn't really hear the music well enough with your voice. Sounded more like background noise.

  • @sparkers70 Sorry about that!

  • and yeah it does sound like wanna dance with somebody. But i still love it!

  • you're an awesome singer

  • @samuelcalebaa Thanks! I have some free songs you can download. Check out my covers in my channel to find links!
