Thanks for this comment. I am an English teacher in an undeveloped country and I am struggling to better myself, to better my teaching. When I am in front of my students I want them to learn but many people have no idea how hard this is. So, let me re use your last phrase: God bless the hard-working, dedicated, inner-city teachers!
I would love to see Mr. Bill Gates attempt to teach Remedial Math in an inner-city school for 3 months. Do it for just 3 months, Mr. Gates!

Keep a journal of your feelings! Better yet, video tape the whole thing!
You will be amazed at how humbling the job can be!
