I remember listening to this song over and over for years straight...on 45,,,then got my first drum set, and listened more. No longer have the drums, but still have the 45!!! Bang on!! Thanks for sharing!
I will admit to liking Johnny Hawksworth's version made (because they couldnt afford the actual Teen Beat) for the Geoffrey Jones BTF short "Snow" watch?v=cl4pJwcE7JI
I just talked to Sandy about 10 minutes ago via skype. He was in my brothers electronics shop ( radio world ) in Henderson Nv. He's doing pretty good and still pounding the drums!
@aldrickbarber35 If you were a teen in the '50's, it was the best ever, perhaps a little naive by today's standards, but who cares, is was a wonderful time to grow up, and I thank God often that I had that opportunity.
@sugarfoot59 My dad grew up in the same time, but he was born in the Philippines of a Philippine mother and an American-Philippine father. He lived in the Philippines until maybe the late 60's when he joined the USAF and volunteered for Khe Sanh a couple times... Anyways, I guess I just got the love for the 50's, 60's and the music from him. Or I don't know. Maybe I was just born this way?
Totally Kick-Butt marriage of guitar and drums. Perfect in every way. One flaw: it's way too short of a song. I loved it when I heard it when I was 11 and love it more now.
yeah !!! what a great sound !!! love it and Love My mems From this era !!! yesss!!60s" never to be Forgotten The best times ever ...thanx for posting ... lyndloo..
@sugarfoot59 Yep, I already said that.........but hey, another living testimonial sure doesn't hurt matters any. We, the '50's kids, were sort of in that era where, for the most part, things were fairly quiet, except of Korea, of course, but otherwise, we didn't have too many worries about world affairs, at least with us teens, who didn't think too much about it, except for what we studied in school.

First heard this in the film The Loveless (great film) and always wondered what it was. Fantastic old school rock and roll.
