How could such a "leader" that is our government allow helpless people to die? My brother did a tour in Iraq and two in Afghanistan. Luckily he came home safe but he wasnt the same. My parents actually had to give me a whole speech about how not to mess with him because he could kill me. That's how bad his post traumatic stress disorder was. He was given a test when he got back to gage his anger and he got a 90...40 is considered extremely angry. But that's my brother, he's an ass but I love him.

my best friend since i was born,, became my boyfriend when i was 13 && he was 17. at 14 && 18 he told me he was going to the marines. at 15 && 19 he told me he had orders to iraq. a week after he arrived he called. a few days later his camp went under attack && his tent caught a grenande. the airport is the saddest place. its where i watched him leave && where i watched them bring his casket home. im 20 now && still cry daily over him. How could such a "leader" that is our government allow helpless people to die? We're in Iraq because if we leave, then their own corrupt "government", along with terrorists, will unleash a tirade of injustice upon the Iraqi people. My brother did a tour in Iraq and two in Afghanistan. Luckily he came home safe but he wasnt the same. My parents actually had to give me a whole speech about how not to mess with him because he could kill me. That's how bad his post traumatic stress disorder was. He was given a test when he got back to gage his anger and he got a 90...40 is considered extremely angry. But that's my brother, he's an ass but I love him.

We dont cry because just "anyone" dies, we cry because "Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" We cry for their family, and we cry because we've just witnessed our own give the ultimate sacrifice. True soldiers have hearts, and thats why we cry.

@missile483 Hey buddy. We're humans as well as soldiers. We sacrifice everything for our loved ones. If I have to leave my girlfriend to make sure my country, and all in it, is safe, then I will. However, I still feel sorrow when I leave people behind or when I lose a friend in combat. Luckily, I haven't lost a friend IN combat; he died in combat when I was still in school.

@captaincabeman i am sorry for your loss,really i am .But if you take the oath of becoming a true soldier then you can't let those things get to you. I myself don't fully understand the meaning of war, seeing as i am only 16. But something i do understand is our rights, no one person is ever forced into war, its always a choice. so when i say i show no disrespect for our soldiers .i'm trying to defend them seeing as if i didn't put that disclaimer, you'd probably think i was being disrespectful

If you only knew what us soldiers go through in Iraq and Afghanistan you'd appreciate what we do.Never knowing when you or your friend could get shot or hit by a bomb. Those of you who don't support us are the ones who wouldnt have the balls to go out and do the things that we do on a daily basis, or have the balls to take another persons life to defend a friend.
