This is absurd. This is a joke? Well, at least he gives a good reading. Hey, Hitchens how are the doomed youth doing in Iraq? AH, bitterness and alcohol, he once was something else. Prufrock might be a better poem for him to explore.
@shrapn0 While I agree with your sentiment, I offer a minor correction. Don't you think a better question to ask RPenta would be "Do you think Muslims are represented by Al-Qaeda or the most reactionary forces within Islam?" One has to be careful to separate Islam, as stated in the Quran and Hadith, from Muslims. Once you ask my proposed question, it is clear that most Muslims dislike Al-Qaeda and are resisting it to a greater extent than any force in the west.
Christopher is an inspiration. You must track down his recitiation of the 'Ogre' by Auden. The value and understanding that comes through such intimate knowledge of poetry is not to be overlooked. I salute you, sir!
@1044gt This piece of shit has no moral right to read this great anti-war poem. He deserves to be BITCHslapped for his arrogance. The journalistic mouthpiece of the neocon war mongers.
@RPenta Please take the trollig somewhere else.... CH is not arrogant, he is just much much smarter then people like you, who clearly do not know what the hell they are talking about.
@Capcomski He's a lying scumbag and I am just pointing out his hypocrisy; same way this turncoat loves to do to other people. You can go kiss his limey ass.
A beautiful poem, impressively recited from memory, but I can't help thinking that Hitchens' stop-start delivery makes it sound like he's parodying his own way of speaking.

@GenghisCohen1 Were they better off under Hussein?

Ironic. Christopher Hitchens can claim responsibility for more dead bodies on wagons and sores on innocent tongues than most other journalists.
'Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori' could be his slogan.

@TheVideoRepo How so? I'm not trying to troll or be an ass. I sincerely want to know why you think this.

@Ryan44567 Because he is a piece of shit cheerleader for war-as long as its against his hated "Islam".

@RPenta So you think Islam is represented by al-Qaeda and it's most extreme supporters?

-- Provide specific examples. Lying? Afaik, he's one of the most intellectually honest pundits today. Either concede or go away.
