DO research the P-51 Mustang and P-38's are better in design and superior to a lot of what the Germans put out during the war. They were all really good aircraft, the ME-109, had a top speed of about 381 MPH, the Mustang had it beat by 50 MPH. The German aces were killed off over the 6 years of the war with obsolete fighters, the US had more allies with more experienced pilots. Quit trolling.

@KickenItOldSchool Uhm, the Red Baron fought in the FIRST world war and was killed before that war was over. He'd have a hard time appearing in the skies over Y-29 in 1945. If you wish to know more about the Red Baron, there are some documentaries here on youtube you can peruse.

His motto was get in while you had the advantage if you lost it withdrew while still on a level playing field. The Red Baron's battles would be intersting. I seen his 11 kill against a british fighter ace was very skillful. Hans-Joachim Marseille "Star of Africa" 158 kills 154 of them fighters all western planes would like very much to see some of his battles

I'm not saying was a bad dogfighter he must have had considerable skill. He never took risk where he could aviod it. He did pride himself on his mustang kills, like many other German aces. He took minable risk is all I'm saying so must of his kills would be over in 30 seconds, dive as he climb back up open up on the belly of his target and that would be it.

The longer you mix it in a dogfight, the greater the chance of getting killed, the fighter pilots job isn't to dog fight, it is to score victories and get home so he can do it again.

Well generally speaking, even if a product was designed for a particular market, if a company sees other potential markets for their product they are going to distribute it to those markets. Persoanlly speaking i would have loved to see episodes on the Russians kicking ass in the P-39 or New Zealand Aces with the P-40, but i geuss the shows bias had cost it since they never made it past the second season.
There are some episodes that deem the German pilots as some of the best in the world at that time. But yeah there is a bias in this show, I've always wanted to see some of the Soviet aces showcased in this show flying Mig -3s and La-7s.
Oh that's right, I've NEVER seen any documentaries showcasing the Japanes kicking American asses at Pearl Harbor, the Germans running the Allies out of Arnhem, Americans slaughtering Vietnamese civilians at My Lai, or Rommel kicking ass because he was the fucking man.

DO research the P-51 Mustang and P-38's are better in design and superior to a lot of what the Germans put out during the war. And if our planes were so in superior why did the P-51 Mustang fly with Air forces around the world until 1984. That's a hell of a service record.

They were all really good aircraft, the ME-109, had a top speed of about 381 MPH, the Mustang had it beat by 50 MPH. The German aces were killed off over the 6 years of the war with obsolete fighters, the US had more allies with more experienced pilots. Quit trolling.

Hartman battles aren't all that impressive. Most of 352 kills were bombers and none lasted very long. His motto was get in while you had the advantage if you lost it withdrew while still on a level playing field. The Red Baron's battles would be intersting. I seen his 11 kill against a british fighter ace was very skillful. Hans-Joachim Marseille "Star of Africa" 158 kills 154 of them fighters all western planes would like very much to see some of his battles

I read that Hartmann achieved most of his kills during the Nazi invasion of the USSR (a target rich environment) but I also read that he also shotdown several P 51 Mustangs (considered to be the best fighter plane of all time). I'm not saying was a bad dogfighter he must have had considerable skill. He never took risk where he could aviod it. He did pride himself on his mustang kills, like many other German aces. He took minable risk is all I'm saying so must of his kills would be over in 30 seconds, dive as he climb back up open up on the belly of his target and that would be it.

The longer you mix it in a dogfight, the greater the chance of getting killed, the fighter pilots job isn't to dog fight, it is to score victories and get home so he can do it again.

I think it's funny in a way that the Allies developed a legend out of this battle, just because the Allies performed so well. I think it's funny, because this kind of performance was routine to Finns and Germans on the Eastern Front.

I'm American and the "Flying Tigers" were British and American pilots who went to China to help defend against the invading Japanese forces. The discovery of the Flying Tigers by IJN/IJA and the sanctions led to their decision to bomb Pearl Harbor. Of course they don't tell us about that because we're supposed to think Pearl Harbor was unjustified, but it was actually the desired result and the Emperor played right into the trap.

Wunderdoob, I'm American too, and my Great Grandfather was at Pearl Harbor. I know who the Flying Tigers were, I just find it relatively sad that most people don't care much to learn of their own country's history if the means is available to them.

that's not part of the history they want everyone to know. Just like they don't want anyone to know how, what, why, and who is really responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks. It didn't happen without plenty of indirect and direct help from numerous dark sources within the United States Government, and the wars are kept going by the same people.

Well generally speaking, even if a product was designed for a particular market, if a company sees other potential markets for their product they are going to distribute it to those markets. Persoanlly speaking i would have loved to see episodes on the Russians kicking ass in the P-39 or New Zealand Aces with the P-40, but i geuss the shows bias had cost it since they never made it past the second season.

There are some episodes that deem the German pilots as some of the best in the world at that time. But yeah there is a bias in this show, I've always wanted to see some of the Soviet aces showcased in this show flying Mig -3s and La-7s.

Oh that's right, I've NEVER seen any documentaries showcasing the Japanes kicking American asses at Pearl Harbor, the Germans running the Allies out of Arnhem, Americans slaughtering Vietnamese civilians at My Lai, or Rommel kicking ass because he was the fucking man.
