  • If you're looking for a suggestion. October 10 Austin City Limits version of Leave My Little Girl Alone. Wow!!! That is just smoking!

  • Who is this Stevie Ray Vaughan? Never heard of him. He's just another Justin Bieber wanna-be.

  • @LiquorWreckedEmGood Stevie Ray Vaughan was a premier first rate guitarist and could play Rhythm and Blues better than most. Some respect for Mr. Vaughan, if you don't mind. Maybe he's not with us anymore since about 1993; but I'm a fan and it's kind of sad to see you write; what you wrote. View one of his concert DVD"s sometime and I can assure you'll be a fan to!

  • @sisnerosism771

Didn't he go by the name Robert back in the 60's? He was the Man From U.N.C.L.E. right? Yeah, I liked him back then.

  • # 8 is not rude mood, is pipeline ... The Vaughan Brothers

  • el solo #8 no es rude mood, es pipeline de The Vaughan Brothers...

  • stop debating an just f.n enjoy !!

  • 5:38 - 5:44 so Jimi Hendrix style!!

  • You put SCUTTLE BUTTIN' at 6 !!!! WTF !

  • The ole lady n me saw Stevie 3 times. He was new. First time was at a hotel Ballroom, almost standing room only. We sat in front of the tiny stage. He kept looking at my ole lady..prick. We saw him again same place same circumstances. Next time was supposed to be the Moody Blues. No back up band. Walking in the lights were off and someone was playing Voodoo Child. Sure enough it was him. We missed the show. There were at least 15,000 people. From a ballroom to 15,000 in a couple of months. Cool

  • Every time I watch him play the solo for life without you I cry.. It's amazing.. He's my personal favorite guitarist of all time.

  • hello ? u 4got crossfire

  • # 8 is not rude mood its pipeline

  • How can little wing not be number one the whole song is a solo

  • You know i don't really like because with Stevie there is no best or worst piece of music, it is ALL THE BEST AND ALWAYS WILL BE

  • FUCKING HELICOPTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the best blues guitar player of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!he was the master of improvisatation......

  • And what about House is rockin, short a stong, are solos supposed to be long just to qualify as "good"?

  • #3, #6, and #8 aren't solos, they're instrumentals (never mind that they're terrific; and if you're going to include instruments, then how can you skip Voodoo Chile ). But there's no need to include instrumentals when the list has left out Tightrope and Can I Have a Talk With You (the studio version: I can't speak to others)

  • @talastra An instrumental can't have solos? Someone tell Joe Satriani, quick.

  • @zorland876 I wish someone *would* tell Joe. He's undoubtedly a virtuoso technically, but his songwriting leaves much to be desired; a problem many hyper-accomplished players have, and a problem SRV absolutely doesn't have. That's part of what makes him so awesome.

  • @zorland876 Also, I wasn't being snotty about your list (it'd be interesting to know your criteria for picking the solos), and while an instrumental can have solos, of course, how exactly do you distinguish them? Where are the solos in Voodoo Chile, for instance, etc? Really, it boils down to "what is meant by a guitar solo". Improvised or composed variations over the course of a whole song are generally different than a short, extra-virtuosic or soulful showpiece in the middle of a song. Yes?

  • @talastra I have the same dilemma, and know exactly what you're talking about. Since guys like Satch and Buckethead record mostly instrumental music based aroudn their guitar playing, they basically create entire track-long solos, so its hard to distinguish where any solo begins or ends.

  • @talastra Well, a instrumental have an intro, riff, something i cant remember the name now and the solo.

  • @zorland876

Satch is a bad example. He is one of the guitarists where the instrumental is often times soloing over chords for an entire song. Buckethead and Paul Gilbert are better examples. They make instrumentals based on sick riffs and then go into guitar solos normally.

  • @zorland876 #3 is Jimmie Vaughan

  • I was beginning to wonder if you included Texas Flood. I was happy to hear it at #1.

  • 0 dislikes wonder whos gonna be the first person to dislike it just to piss people off

  • wheres testify

  • Personally, I love couldn't stand the weather!

  • I think the best for m e is the Pride and Joy solo, that gives me chills everytime! Man that guy could play!!

  • of course we all have our opinions but as for mine, i believe that you have texas lood and little wing mixed. for my dollar, little wing is the greatest song stevie ever did. it is plain guitar purity from star to finish. i praise the great jimi hendrix for writing it, but more so stevie for making it his own.

  • Shit there could be a top 20 SRV solo's list and you could still come up with 20 more easily on top of that no to mention some of his non recorded solos.. Bottom line is SRV was a bad mother fucker on the guitar no doubt about it !

  • How did "shake for me" not make this list?

  • In my opinion, the solo for Cold Shot from Austin City Limits is better than the one you used for this video.

  • TEXAS FLOOD. Great song.

  • bfmv lmfao , don't comment on srv dude please, lol u just made my day my stomach hurts from laughin

  • #8 isn't even Stevie or Rude Mood. It's Jimmy Vaughan and Stevie playing Pipeline

  • @MrClaptonstrat Egh its supposed to be Pipeline...I think, it wasn't terribly clear. And I messed up and put the part of the song I liked the most, forgot about Jimmie.

  • @MrClaptonstrat it's all good man, for me the best is the Testify solo

  • the thing about #8 is that stevie is not soloing, he doing a rhythm while his brother jimmie solos

  • two things:

    1- I think LENNY is a solo in a whole...if i wrote it right..

2- still with LENNY, your post of this song sounds diferent from the ones i´ve heard.. where can i find it???

    thanks

  • @pedrinme i think they're mostly the album versions

  • @pedrinme Yeah, but I have to fit it into a 10 minute video.

Mine is off of the SRV 3-disc set. I don't know that its any different from the original, I'd have to look it up.

  • @zorland876 8 wasnt rude nood its piple line

  • @naruhina102 its a medley of rude mood and pipeline. but i really think that he better cloud take the original rude mood from texas flood

  • Best guitarist ever.

  • OMG ! It's the first time I see a video with no dislike on him ! :O

    I undertand why! :D

  • I think #8 is actually Pipeline...SRV and Jimmie did it on a dual Strat.

  • to tough his "number one' guitar would truly be an inspiring touching moment.

  • That's a very good list, but my top Vaughan's solo would be this version of tighrope. =)

    watch?v=sx_JG3gogUw

  • @themorphetic I would have to say Willie the Wimp-1988-Live at the Midtfyns Festival in Denmark. One of the best solos i have ever heard...

  • Texas Flood, wow!!! SRV is amazing, it looks so effortless for him. Beyond the question of who is the best songwriter, I believe SRV is the greatest guitarist of all time

  • you spelled his last name wrong, how can you call yourself a fan if you cant spell his name??

  • @ripmj12380 I know how to spell it, I just typed it wrong once. Wow, you're the person person to pick up on that :P

  • @ripmj12380 why how should it be spelled?

  • @BlackLabelForLife no they fixed it after i said they had spelled it wrong....they spelled it "Vaughn"

  • 1# more than obvious! hehehe

I enjoyed this list! SRV is my favourite guitarist player!

  • I honestly can't believe that they didn't put 'Say What!' or 'Tin Pan Alley' in there. Besides that, a pretty decent list, although I'm not convinced that #8 was actually 'Rude Mood'. It didn't sound anything like it.

  • never played it the same way twice.........that's why he's the greatest!

  • Absolutely great choice man, but Tin Pan Alley really should have a slot in here!

  • awesome!

  • buenisimo grande srv

  • how come crossfire isn't on here?

  • Can you do a top 10 solos of allen collins

  • its amazing how fast stevie could play without any distortion. metal today people mess up all the time but u cant hear it cuz of all the gain. stevie played strait up clean.

no one will ever match what stevie could do with a six string

  • @metsjets315 ??? I didn't realize gain/distortion made you play faster...

  • @wyldefan00 its doesnt, but if your going fast and you mess up then no one can tell cause all they here is that gain shit, but stevie played clean so if he messed up you could tl........but the thing is......he never did =)

  • @metsjets315 Ehh, know gain AND distortion helps with the fret buzz, but masking missed notes?

  • rude mood is Jimmie Vaughan, Stevie's playing rhythm

  • rude mood is Jimmie Vaughan, Stevie's playing rhythm

  • I don't think you could found a worst video for Rude Mood's solo. Other than that, I can't really complain.

  • @TheKogunEnjou its with jimmy his bro at new orleans in 87 they laso did pipeline

  • @XxBFMV24xX no no no ur wrong man stevie ray is a GOD!!! and playing fast does not mean u have soul and stevie had both

  • lol the shredders can never be as good as SRV

  • @algrand90 WTF there better

  • @XxBFMV24xX

musically SRV blows them away and he can play everything .i dont care aboute the speed because i don't like when a guitar sounds like pacman

  • @algrand90 yea but shreders have more skills but thats just my opinion i dont really like SRV not my style of music

  • @XxBFMV24xX lol ur name is bfmv that band is fucking horrible ur style of music is queer like you

  • @Babric420 you have no idea what i like besides bullet for my valentine and stevie ray vaughan is boring in my opinion it sounds like some red neck shit what he plays, and your name is babric so you have right to talk about names because yours sounds like a faggot bitch

  • @XxBFMV24xX thats called the blues and how dare u insult the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan even him dead he is still better than bullet for my valentine and all that alternative crap that is played now..... u sir are a disgrace for disrespecting SRV like that

  • @XxBFMV24xX ur an idiot thats the best bluesman to walk this earth u stupid fag. how dare u insult Stevie Ray Vaughan saying hes boring.. hes way more interesting than bullet for my valentine... only fags listen to that pussy shit.... Stevie Ray Vaughan is Music

  • @RAIDERFLORES well thats you opinion i dont give a shit i think srv is boring and you trying to insult me is not goin to change my opinion

  • @XxBFMV24xX To call stevie a redneck is apalling and i guarantee you mike paget cant even attempt to play solos of his caliber. Stevie is the one person ive found who can legitimately to do an impressive and accurate jimi hendrix impression and also retains his own unique style. There are hardly any truly talented guitar players like this in any current band.

  • @kobre263 well my favorite guitarist is dimebag darrell not michael paget and i didnt call srv a redneck but i dont care i dont find his songs good maybe i just havent found the right ones

  • @XxBFMV24xX Sorry for replying to such an old comment, but who cares if you don't like him? You have the right to have an opinion, but nobody has to give a shit. Keep it to yourself, don't broadcast it to the internet when you know youll just be spammed with hate mail.

  • @ShoeBorn i really dont care about the hate mail i was kidding when i said shredders are better than SRV i dont really like him but i dont care

  • @XxBFMV24xX if you think its so 'boring' then what brought you here

  • @XxBFMV24xX and eric clapton is way fuckin better than stevie ray vaughan

  • Hey me how can you do a top 10 of the best solos of SRV and not include "crossfire" are you nuts, that´s only mean that you don´t know it all to this greatest guitar player, anyway after Hendrix SRV is the best guitar in all american. B. B. king don´t count.

  • youre right CHILDEL tjuue... nr8 isn't rude mood.... and also we share the oppinion that the solo "leave my girl alone" also is great!!!!

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan was so unique and genuine! He touches your heart and soul with his gift of music! I love his voice, not too many singers have that charisma!!!

  • umm hate to say this but #8 is not rude mood. it's pipeline. stevie played this on a double neck guitar with his brother jimmie. other than that i say the video was clutch. question tho, where is the solo for leave my girl alone? that should have tied with texas flood on first. just a thought.

  • @CHIDELTjuue I WAS ABOUT TO WRITE THE SAME THING. #8 IS NOT RUDE MOOD

  • @CHIDELTjuue: Actually, They played Rude Mood and Pipeline together as a mix / bootleg.

  • @andreagoun i didn't know that. thanks for the info dude.

  • Little Wing is a Jimi Hendrix's song, anyway Stevie Ray Vaughan's version is a wonderful cover

  • @HandMane Well obviously :P But SRV's is completely different in the solos.

  • @zorland876 And I think He's Better than jimi

  • @HandMane

    stevies is the best

  • @HandMane well SRV actually redid his own version of little wing because Jimmi sang in his so it was it was his own song i guess even though it say's on the CD written by Jimmi Hendrix it's 2 different song's but the same in a big way

  • @HandMane I actually like it better just because it's more chill (for the most part haha) but the Hendrix version was definitely amazing!

  • QUe es the best solos de sLash ni que tonterias

    SRV el mejor!

  • I can clearly hear from where John Mayer has got his inspiration... ;)

    SRV is f... awesome

  • On one of the SRV dvd's, John Mayer gave great comments & explanations about this inspiration. Insight.

  • I think you make this comment cos your're a Steve Vai fan. SRV could never sound like Steve Vai and vica versa. They 're two totally different kind of guitar players and both of them of them are in the top ten of their genre. One thing SRV did have was a signature sound, not many guitarists achieve that. Steve Vai is a great player but he doesn't have a signature sound. He sounds like all of the other rock players, but he is the best at it. Just cos you don't like SRV doesn't mean his musicsucks

  • @stevevaiguy Are you fucking kidding me. Fuck steve vai and his guitar with the little handle in the middle of the body. SRV had style. He didnt just play really fast and sound like everyone else.

  • Comment removed

  • @stevevaiguy then you dont know good music

  • @stevevaiguy steve vai could never reach srv status vai blows

  • @20xwolves You're retarded.

  • #8 isn't Rude Mood, its Pipeline, where he plays a double neck guitar with his brother.

  • Does it really matter if one guitar player is better than other one? Just enjoy music, this isn´t a contest. There isn´t a theory to judge taste, if you like it so it's good for you. And if other people don´t like it's also a respectable opinion too.

  • number 8 is fucking wrong dat is pipeline that stevie played whit his brother on a doubleneck rude mood is muchfaster

  • did SRV has some perticular solo part?? he's soloing all the time i mean..

  • @ richardwu0609...he only solos when its a solo, the rest is phrasing, one of the many reasons he's so awesome

  • What about Tightrope? top 1 solo imo.

  • it's very rare that anyone can improve a song written by someone else.Stevie Ray Vaughn is that very rare exception.Hendrix is without question the greatest guitarest ever!!!.SRV gives the greatest respect to Jimi with his covers of his obvious idol

  • Jimi's Little Wing solo was much better. Sometimes less is more, and SRV just added so much clutter to the solo. Anyway, love the list. Didn't much about SRV before watching this, but I have much respect for him now.

  • Jimi was a huge influence on stevie and that song is a great tribute to him. It is a master piece Little Wing. Can you imagine writing that?

  • Nope. I can't imagine anyone other than Hendrix and SRV writing it to be honest..........maybe Clapton.

    *runs for cover* :P

  • Stevie's Little Wing is in the same league with Jimi's, by my opinion even better, but defintetely in the same league with the original.

  • Stevie's solo was better, and a lot better than what Jimi originally did. When Stevie played the guitar it was like that he was talking to you, he spoke a different language with his guitar than anybody else you can mention. Stevie had a cleaner tone and he had a lot more passion than Jimi or any other guitar player in history of music, one of a kind guitar player.

  • i disagree,

i liked stevies version of little wing alot better that hendrix version. i think he added to it and made it his own.

  • that doesn't sound like rude mood. is it live?

  • Yes. This was from a version that Stevie and Jimmy Vaughan played on the same 12 string. I believe it was 1987...Don't quote me on that.

    The video's on youtube somewhere.

    Hope that helped.

  • I got this video on my account;) Stevie and Jimmie playing a double neck guitar.. do check it out! link is:

    /watch?v=Onqzua4bRHY&feature=channel_page

    cheers

  • Yes it's live with his brother Jimmie Lee Vaughan. It's a medley of Rude Mood and Dickie Dale's Pipeline.

  • OHHH no number 8 is actually called pipeline with stevie ray vaughan and jimie vaughan look it up. :]

  • sounds like hes playing with his bro on a double neck guitar

  • go texas!

  • Man Stevie is just great

My favourite solo from him is the solo from things that i used to do

  • hey! the number 8 isn´t rude mood is pipeline...

stevie plays that song with his brother

  • what i love about Cold Shot is that the song is so chill and relaxed.. nice laid back riff and a solid solo.. and thats just one song- all his songs are amazing and extremely well performed!!!

    R.I.P master Vaughan

  • nice vid man! stevie is my fav guitarist

  • where did you get the that version of lenny from?

  • Great list, also ''Crossfire'' solo is awesome

  • Who would say Stevie could play jazz? I heard the first tune a milion times but never really noticed what a kick ass solo it had.

Btw... the rude mood solo is Jimmie not Stevie.

  • SRV is the Best at Blues to me. Great List.

  • just what I was searching for "top ten guitar solos"

  • Nice vid.
