I dont understand why the Reach soundtrack was like this? This soundtrack is by far the second best right below halo 3 and that originality. But seroiusly, wtf happened with reach?
@navguitar34 I don't see how it's unoriginal, but I can see the similarity. They both wanted to seem dark, (Reach more so) in comparison to the Halo Trilogy.
Man ODST ran on the same engine as Halo 3 and it was made in a mere year. It's more of a DLC than new campaign but.... the soundtracks that bungie has made have always been amazing
@TheBloodbanshee I was about to recommend it but I see you already finished it haha. I love ODST, it may not technically be the best game in the series and has less ODST-related content, but the story, the look and feel, the music, everything about ODST makes it my favorite in the series. Plus you get the cast of Firefly as the main characters. So much win! Also, Reach is definitely worth the money. It's a huge game, and the campaign has one of the best endings I've ever seen.

@Mattingly97 No, not really. Since Mombasa is actually a large trade city in the world, i can see how it would be relevant to have a tether there. But Tethers have been in Sci Fi stories for ages, so one can't say that it was stolen if that is what you were implying. In fact if anything, Bungie portrayed the view, structure, and mechanics of the tether rather well. In fact it is the first story to include them in the plot of multiple scripts. (Halo 2-3-odst-and contact harvest.) Just saying.
Halo Reach may have awesome multiplayer maps, great gameplay, and a lot of awesomeness, but can it POSSIBLY hope to compare to the gameplay, characters, plot, music score, and DOWNRIGHT OWNAGE that is contained in Halo 3 ODST? I think not.
@Traykendude21 They're on equal footing with music. ODST tried very hard to have a relevant plot, but in the end, it really was not that significant to the story as a whole. As far as gameplay, Brutes are just way too easy to kill (even on higher difficulty), compared to Reach, where elites were pretty tough and the Brutes were alot tougher. HOWEVER, ODST has Reach beat in the realm of characters. Jorge and DOT are the only 2 characters from Reach that I cared about.
@silentprophet777 I can see how Reach had BETTER gameplay as a challenge and such, but what I hate about it is the fact that it seems Bungie forgot their creativity in it. Sure, a lot of that has to do with them being rushed, but I sincerely miss the easter eggs, skulls, funny quotes, and overall freedom in the previous Halo games. In Reach, straying AT ALL from the designated path leads to instant death. Its not even fun to go outside map boundaries anymore (remember Sandtrap?). Just my opinion
@mohammedje56 A lot of fans get a kick out of bucking the system so as to play without the "play-along storybook" feel that most scripted game plots have. Halo Reach made sure that there was an "out of bounds" pop-up if you tried an alternate route. Halo 2 has places to allow players to go outside the plot's designated path. (that's how some skulls are obtained). And all of that is without finding glitches. If you can show me true freedom in Halo Reach, I still have an open mind to see it.

Bungie hasmade the best non-Spartan FPS game ever. It has everything you can expect in a great Halo game: multiplayer (firefight), campaign, story and as always since Halo began, a great soundtrack!

This song is one of my favorite soundtrack songs from any video game ever.
The whole thing is a masterpiece, but the segment of 2:43 to 3:03 just sounds absolutely, tearjerkingly beautiful to me.
Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori are my heroes in the video game composer industry. Fantastic work.

They said they wanted a character with a face for the Halo film. Mabye they can borrow the ODST cast. Especially since Nathan Fillion and Adam Baldwin resemble their characters so well.

@MrMICHAELJCABOOSE The Traxus workers were in Voi, which is a city near Mombasa in Kenya. Hence why you can see the ark and the burning remains of the city when your'e on the missions. But you are right, evry one in New Mombasa was snuffed...just one thing after another
