  • thanks dude this save my computer from raning out of memeroy

  • Does the quality remain the same when you reduce the size of camstudio recordings?

  • @patrickng9 Yeah, works like a charm.

  • @HennyStripes Resolution is also importtant for quality.

  • How do i stop it going into a widescreen view?

  • bad quality.

  • @sg12nk34 Nope the quality is fine if your not watching at widescreen or fullscreen.

  • @illage2

oh, i'm recordin at 1280x1024 and i have bad quality:( i use any video converter and handbrake to compress videos, very good programs

  • @sg12nk34 Ah thats why you have bad quality then. The tip was designed for the highest quality settings using the lossless codec on camstudio. The recording dimesions are set to 640x360.

  • @illage2

Thanks man for help, i try later, your program xilisoft is good too, in my channel the is a film with full version (ultimate) This tutorial with the program have 250 mb at recording, i have compressed with 1 program, thi camtasia (edited) and used easy h.264 codec (a tut is on my channel but polish language) SO 250 bm too 8.50 MB without lossing quality! (with HD:])

  • @sg12nk34

    250 mb too 8.50 mb, stfu:f

  • @sg12nk34 I know its hard to believe, at first I thought it was a glitch with media coder, but it wasn't which was why I was so amazed in the video.

  • @illage2

    :)

  • hey friend i have very Baaddddd specs what should i do??????????????

  • does it change the quality of the video?

  • @796305001

yes, after that quality is very very bad

  • Will VirtualDub do the trick too? I make instruction videos about games so i want to use Fraps at the same time

  • @glempa5 It should work. I'm not too sure it will reduce the file size as effectivly though. I've not yet had the pleasure of using VirtualDub.

  • THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANKKKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • COMBAT ARMS!!!

Holy crap i suck at that, anyway, nice video, i used to have Camstudio and Hypercam, but i thought the quality was crap, but your vids changed that totaly

  • @glempa5 I'm glad that I was able to help. The video will also aid in keeping the file size small.

  • So after you "convert" it, how would you upload it to youtube?

  • @TheLogicman1 Upload it to YouTube as you normally would do with any other video.

  • After recording your camstudio video do you edit it using Windows movie maker or any other programs? I wanted to know if edit them and cut sections, or you just save it without making edits.

    Thanks

  • @DraeIsMe Nope never had to.

  • hey y u try -reduce the size of it using media coder and use another one the handbrake so it will be more smaller

  • @darkblader061 I like using media coder as it keeps the original quality, and secondly there is no messing around with media coder, you just the video in, and then click start and let it convert.

  • Thanks man! I tried it and uploaded a test vid. It's in HD! It was like 22 seconds and only 2.9 MB. Can you help me with something though? I have Windows 7 and when I try and edit a screen capture vid in Winfows Live Movie Maker, the quality goes down after you publish it. I really would like to be able to add slides and music to my vids without sacrificing quality.

  • Try AVS movie maker :)

  • @roadrager71 Windows Live movie maker isn't that good at all. You could try Virtual Dub or WAX2.0. If you wanted to you could always try Sony Vegas.

For screen capture editing, you could try using Camtasia Studio 6.

  • Do you personally use this program for your videos to make them smaller? I was just curious because I like the quality of your vids and was wondering if I could get the same quality as you but still encoding it in mp4.

  • Yeah I do sometimes, this video was done using media coder

  • I downloaded MediaCoder and then I imported the AVI Camstudio file into the program but when I click the start button it comes up with an error: 'Failed to load MEcoder' and it says it might be missing? After I download the mediacoder do I need to put certain settings for it to work like yours?

  • No you shouldn't have to alter any settings. Try uninstalling and then downloading and installing the application again. It might work

  • Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work. However, I think it might be an issue with the newest version, as that is the one I installed. I downloaded and installed the previous version and that one worked perfectly. I just wanted to let you know just incase someone else tells you that it isn't working for them. You can tell them to install the previous version as that worked perfectly for me.

Thanks for this video and thanks so much for introducing this program to me. Keep up the good work

  • Ah cool, thanks for the advice. And no problem I'm happy to have helped.

  • that is reallllllllllllllllly amazing no jokeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Nice.. You're German, aren't you?

Cuz some words you said sounds weird in Eng XD

  • Lol, I'm not German I'm British.

  • Could you upload a test video of this?

  • Don't need to, this video was done using media coder conversion.

  • Oh! That's good!

The video quality is AMAZING man.

  • Everytime I try to do this for my .avi files I get an error saying, "Audio stream and video stream cannot be muxed together?" Any clue on what might I be doing wrong. I followed step by step instructions and still isn't working. I would much appreciate if anyone knows how to fix to let me know.

  • Try installing an older version of media coder, and then import the AVI file and leave the settings as they are. It should work with any luck.

  • i love this vid
