This tobacco seems to be delicious. Perique is the thing of the Bayou so the whole concept behind it matches my idea of a perfect Louisiana blend. Alas it's not sold in European stores. We'll have to settle for McConnell's pure perique and whatever mixtures we can make with it...!

So on the Town is oriental, is that because of the Basma? And on the Bayou is what I thought would be spicy because of the Perique.

the basma which is a turkish tobacco addition with latakia makes it oriental,,and if no oriental leaf in the blend and only perique or latakia and perique is added for seasoning then the blend will be called english.
