God of War1 Infinite Orb Glitch

I've found a 100% effective way that has never failed me. This is with Blade of Chaos lvl 4. You need to firstly hit the harpy two times with SQUARE button. Then position yourself in front of the ladder and wait for its attack, just as in the video. The difference is that instead of using plume of prometheus or R1 combo, you use L1+Triangle combo. NEVER FAILS.

I guess you can do it with BoC lvl 5 too, if you skip the first two hits with the square button.

You may be able to if you have not gone past a point of no return for another challenge. The caveat is that the harpy would have to be still alive for you to do this glitch. If you killed the harpy en route to the top of the cliff, then if you go back, you won't be able to do the glitch.

I had read about a dozen different variations on how to do this cheat, and I could NOT get it to work because I had upgraded my Chaos Blades to level 4 (so every time I rushed the Harpy or tried the Plume it killed the Harpy too quick). I started the game ALL over and only upgraded my the Chaos Blades to level 2 (and no other upgrades). Still spent a lot of time trying to get this to work. Found this video, and after about 3 minutes got it to work. THANK YOU SO MUCH, THIS VIDEO SAVED MY SANITY!!

I'd recommend using R1 once the harpy is in position. Or aim the first square away from the harpy then connect with the second square and triangle. Hope that helps. Please let me know if it works!

From what I can tell they modified the glitch. Whatever version of the GOW collection that was shipping a little before Christmas. Tried it for a few hours. using one square after one R1 got it going, same area though, just above the ladder.

I GOT THIS ON GOD OF WAR 2!!!! I DONT HAVE A RECORER SO ILL EXPLAIN HERE. On the Steeds of time level at the yellow button area I sat at the yellow button and a harpie came so I used same attack used in this vid (sq, sq, tri) and it died in between the ground and the drop off to the water, kinda stuck in that spot, and the screen kept vibrating like hell i was like WTF than I noticed my red orbs going through the roof!! -PS3 Verison

Thanks, got it! Was playing on easy and it worked after a good couple of tries. Noticed it helps if you stand against the ladder and take one step forward, then guard when he screeches etc.

i got all the red orbs in the game except a few chests in hades, killed every monster i came across, and bashed all the crates and barrels, but by the end i was still 300 orbs short...that pissed me off. Tried to do this glitch for the trophy but it wasnt working, so i just loaded my save point to the aries fight on easy mode, beat him until the circle appeared, hit the circle, then hit one prompt, and missed the next, it gave me 3 bars each time and i just rinsed and repeated for the trophy.

best bet is to go to ladder, turn around. take one small step forward. when he swoops, block, then turn and square then r1 shoulder into ladder. this puts him in air. know step onto the ladder you should be completely against it after the r1 shoulder.

Actually, this is quite easy to do even if you're playing on an easier difficulty or if you've leveled the blades past level 3. It's just not quite a formula.

All you have to do is block the harpy's attack, hit it with a single square attack, VERY QUICKLY get on the ladder and start mashing square. There's a bit of luck involved, as it depends on how far back into the wall the harpy gets pushed. I did this on easy with level 4 Chaos Blades, which kills harpies in two hits.

But, if you want to max out ALL of your weapons, the glitch would have to go for about an hour... I don't know if you can beat the game in less than five hours if you do the glitch for an hour, unless you're good at speedrunning.

To everyone saying a combo has to be done and all this BS, all you do is push the Harpy (as its flapping its wings in the air, doing nothing) to the ladder, press R1 to shoulder attack it, and climb the ladder a tad, and boom, you tricked the harpies dead corspe into continuing its death. Simple, easy, done.

one thing i notice, the harpie was a bit higher than normal when it worked, so i think luck is a big factor in this glitch if your weapon is too maxed out...

Standing in front blocking, then turning around, holding L2 + Square (whirlwind sort of attack) kept the harpy against the ladder and up enough for me to keep pushing forward during that annimation to get just under it and keep bouncing it. Worked easiest for me (PS3 Collector ed)
