Maravilloso! recordando aquellos tiempos en que escuché este tema por primera vez en el concierto de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, igual de genial,gran inspiracion de Arsenio Rodriguez.

Con respecto al solo de flauta es importante recordar las influencias jazzisticas en Palmieri, en este caso se trata de la influencia del gran Herbie Mann, quien trabajo con Barretto y Pacheco además de percusionistas cubanos entre otros. El solo es netamente jazzístico le pone el toque reflexivo y de ternura al tema el cual es necesariamente seguido por el trompeta y el timbalero. Gran exigencia expresiva jazzística.

Excuse me but if you were playing bass in that video you should be able to remember that the timbal is Nicky Marrero and if I'm not mistaken, the bongo for Eddie Palmieri was Tommy Lopez (chuky).

Hi! If you see at the beggining of the video you'll see Charlie Cotto on timbales and later on the flute solo you'll see Nicky marrero too!, that's because Nicky was at the gig too, but he was playing both bongos and timbales. So there were two timbaleros there. Notice at the end that the one doing the timbales solo is Charlie Cotto not Nicky.
