I've lived here 6 yrs worked 5 & a half yrs & have been out of work for 5mnths. I'm so over this stayin home shit but due to my duration here, centrelink can't assist me with any benefits...so I worked my ass off for 5 & a half yrs, paid taxes & find out that refugees get more priveleges from centrelink...That is so unfair.

i was on the bebfit for 5 mothns once and i got a job on my own efforts but when i told mission australia they said thats great , then they wanted me to sign a form giving them credit for getting a job that would have seen them get $5,000 from the govt. coffers when i refused to sign the paper they tried to bribe with a pack of smokes but still i refused , centrelink was notified but seemingly no action was taken against these would be fraudster.
they should make it that anyone that goes on centrelink benefit must immediately be put on work for the dole full time for 80 hours a forth night, including 10 hours a week for job searching, the government should make it more tough on those that are on centrelink benefits. it is the only way to encourage these people to get off their lazy fat arses and do something with their life, pursue a career and get a paid working job.

My Job Network Provider, Mission Australia is corrupt. The reason they don't help the unemployed find jobs is that they know they will be without work once these unemployed ones find work. Makes perfect sense why they hand out large volumes of paperwork in the form of activity agreements and appointments while they sit on their asses all day long. The only way to get these lame ass agencies axed is to contact the Minister of Centrelink or complain to DEEWR. Ask your local MP for contact details.
