There are many tolerant and peaceful Muslims, but a very large percentage of Muslims appear to be intolerant to varying degrees. There are many tolerant and peaceful Muslims, but a very large percentage of Muslims appear to be intolerant to varying degrees. The governments of most Muslim majority countries are extremely intolerant. Turkey is the best one and most parts of Indonesia are good also, but they are the only big exceptions. Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, much of Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, and others all have governments that declare conversion from Islam to be punishable by death.
