  • how many reps of what do you have to do per day?

  • Wow I really hope this works haha I'm apple shaped and thought I really had no chance with a butt because that area of my body is pretty pathetic and flat ..... do you think apple shapes have less of a chance building muscle in the butt than say an hourglass or pear?

  • how do i get a no ass? im skinny i have a 6 pack but my butt is big :( im not comfortable with it and paranoid about it coz it moves when i walk i want to be able to walk around with confidence i do athletics running 2 days a week and running at college but it hasnt seemed to get any smaller

  • How long should i do this exercise?

  • I have done the excersizes only twice in one week (had to wait for some soreness to dissipate) and my husband has been grabbing my ass ALOT and telling me how good I look in my jeans!!

  • I heard my knees cracking when I did this......is this okay?

  • I try to make sure my knee does not go past my toe, but still when i lunge i can feel stress on both knees more than i can feel tension in the muscles i'm trying to work. Why is this, and how can i fix it?

  • I feel the burn as soon as i twist! :) Thank you!

  • I'm including this in my workout starting today =]

  • I CANT UNDERSTAND WHAT HE'S SAYING.!!

  • Good point Kay. I have heard the same from thousands of trainers.. have you ever been told why? Take a look at your knees the next time you stand up or walk up stairs. You will find your knees actually do go past your toes. If this exercise was about loading up 300 plates on our back then I would be more hesitant to have the knee forward. But for what you are seeing here, it's functional - after all, just because it gets said numerous times, doesnt make it right... does it?

  • Nice video. Will try this move today at the gym. Could you please post a video to show the perfect calf exercise. I want my calves to look big. So many gyms lack the calf raising machine (Where you stand with weights on the shoulds and raise it with your calf muscles)

I try to do squats in hope that it is helping my calves but I dont think its working.

  • What about the Skater plyos. Do they work better than this exercise....?

  • 3 months and very little .I'll update in 3 more.

    4 sets of 8 - 4 days a week.

  • @oldschoolhunter thanks for the update. give me more details about what you are doing... maybe a few technique tips in the right spot could help...

  • @jamescatlas does it give your but muscle?

  • Thanks so much! I am really skinny and have a flat booty so hopefully this will help! Will this affect my from having a curvy body lol? Because someone told vertain excersises like this will make your body more manly-like..Also any good tips for a flatter stomach/toner legs? Thanks (:

  • d0es this really w0rk ?

like h0w l0nq will it take t0 qet

    dha perfect butt ????

  • I have no butt I want one so can u show me how to get one!! please!!

  • Thank you so much for uploading! What about the knees in this workout? Isn´t it harmful?

  • Interesting exercise, I'll practice it, thanks

  • I would love to see the advance version!

  • @luckyclover012 you got it!

  • thanks a lot. i would also like to work my abs

  • I knew it.... thank you "jamescatlas - I've been telling my running buddies for a year that the lunge/stationary lunge is the single best glute exercise out there! Thanks for the "intermediate lunge" demo - I've not seen this before and just tried it in my workout - you've made a pain in my arse. lol

  • wow! tis is really very helpfull!

    thanx alot!!

  • GREAT advice. Thank you and God Bless you for sharing!

  • Good point - if the research upon which you are basing your opinion is valid ;) Why is it that 90 degrees is the approved range? Doesn't it seem a little TOO exact that 90 degrees would be that point? When you walk up stairs you exceed that angle every step. Should we tell all the athletes running stairs around the world to stop doing so? I might agree that if heavily loaded then you are safer to have the leg at the angle you show... but I might not as well ;)

  • LuvCurls thanks for the question! Yes, you can do the rotation while doing stationary lunges but if you rotate while moving in and out of motion you tap into the bodies natural movement patterns and fire the glute a bit more.

Hasmik18 - this will burn the fat off the butt while improving the shape - you will have a more muscular butt that jiggles less :) So yes, bigger and rounder but firmer at the same time. No flat butts allowed!

  • Thank u so much. Great video & tips. I will be trying these in next workout. Ques: Can the rotation be done while doing stationary lunges?

  • will this make my butt slimer and skinny??/ i wanna get a bigger and rounder ass will this work for me?????please get back to me asap

  • How about inner thigh?

  • Thanks alot. I really enjoyed your warm up video too. But what do you suggest for someone who has bad knees and cant quite make it down to the floor with the lunges? Will they work if one can only make it 1/2 way down? Thanks again mate!

  • an exercise aboyt shoulders?

  • Wow - some great comments here - lets see...

discretemuscle2 - advanced version coming soon - promise!

XTINAsianLatinA - Great to hear that you felt it right away! When you tap into an area of the muscle you wouldnt normally get to your body lets you know, right?!

twylaah - for inner thigh do side lunges while varying the feet (try feet straight, then feet pointed out)

RunTFC - take it gradual with the rotation and you should be fine. This exercise is the answer to your question. trust me!

  • Just watched the video and haven't tried these movements yet. I am curious though because in the intermediate version, it looks painful for the knees. Also you mention how this twisting movement lengthens the glut muscles. but does that translate to sculpting it too? I'm hoping to firm up the area from the lower glut to upper hamstring AND the whole upper glut area. Some overall increased roundness would help too.

  • Thanks for this! Any suggestions for the inner thighs (w/o exercise equipment)?

  • Shit, I can already feel it!!! THANKS!

  • love this

    what is advqanced version?

  • Hey guys! Let me be honest and say that results will be seen depending on where you are starting from. This exercise is designed to help work the butt in a way that it does not normally get worked.

This exercise will help shape the butt underneath the 'excess layer' one might have covering the nice shape underneath.

For optimal results build up to 4 sets of 12 on each side for each of these movements, done at a moderate pace with 20 seconds rest between each set.

    Good luck!

  • Thx Jamie :) BTW ANother body part im also looking forward to train is the Upper part of the Upper back ( those two sides of the neck ) Could you Upload a video on it? Or do you already have one? Thx Jamie :)

  • looks promising

    :D

  • tanx, im gonna start doing it

  • This seems to work really good. I'll try it. I wonder if I can do it everyday.

  • how often and how many reps and sets do you recommend?

  • i will definitely try this one! thanks!

  • if i keep doing this when will i get the results?

  • Does this help a flat butt?

  • hell yeah it does! If you can keep it up then you will find the workout gets easier and the butt gets rounder :)

  • how long will you see the results? and how long should i work on, this 3x a week?

  • Hey NarutoLover564 - you will see results in about 4-6 weeks depending on where you are starting from - 3x a week would be great, no more than 5 and no less than 2x if you are too busy to get these exercises in.

  • Amazing. Thank you very much. How am I going to get the perfect legs?

  • I have loose (no fat butt). Will this tighten it or should I loose weight first then do this?

  • Thanks guys. I will put together a video for the advanced version and one for a good calf workout as well. It won't be your average calf workout, so make sure you start working on those puppies now so they are ready to take it to the next level!

    Thanks guys

    Jamie

  • Awesome... thanks... I'd love to see the advanced version too!

  • Your wish is granted. I will post it on my channel in the next week. If you want to know when it gets in just subscribe and the system will let you know.

    Cheers

    Jamie

  • I would like your suggestions for good calf workouts, thanks

  • For sure BillMatic4. I will get that up on my channel within the next week. Anything else you are looking for?
