did he just blame pcs for are ression lol. try massive outsourcing and the usa no longer making goods that includes pcs. and hey i grew up in 80s computing and yes i owned a apple 2. a c64 as well. be happy the pasty faced kid stereotype died otherwise every internet user would be flagged socal paranas,
@EpicFailFourms I know lol. But there was an application called mousepaint. It was like macpaint. It may have just been something somebody made now though, cause I just have an emulator.
@EpicFailFourms Actually, all Apple II's had a mouse. When the IIc came out in 1984, there was an optional mouse for it. Older Apple II's like the IIe and earlier used an expansion card for a mouse.
I remember stopping in to a computer store (Software Gallery) in 85 - a 2e was about $5,000. My $250 Commodore 64 was as good, but I really wanted a 2e. Now I have one :O)
This was a huge blunder on Apple's part to yank the Apple II line shortly after announcing the Mac, and then dropping support for the II line shortly after that. It really pi**ed off a lot of Apple II users. I don't understand why they couldn't have kept the II line going along side the Mac for a few years longer before making the switch over to just Mac.
Pasty faced white kid in the eighties sits in front of home computer ALL DAY, and dad thinks that he'll be interested in sports, outdoor activities, and cars? Silly, silly dad!
@petewkro Yeah, because pasty faced kids in the 2000's are so much more evolved and now have Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter to keep them in front of the computer. {sarcasm}
At least kids in the 80's were usually doing something constructive and learning when they sat in front of a computer.
what a cool dad

Everything at Apple is overpriced. I'm not a Windows user by choice. I'm a Windows user because I can't afford a Mac.

Cheaper is not allways the best way to go.

They probably just wanted to promote the educational value of the computer... as any company would do in the 1980s.
