  • Okay that Protools LE shot was SOOOOOOOOOOOO Not needed :P

  • every time I listen to this music, my heart just calms down S)

  • THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS!!!!

  • exelente composicion para pensar

  • That.... was truly awesome! I felt every note

  • he looks like a brunette derek trucks.

  • eagles fly over Him ala ya :D

  • This is talent

  • I wonder if he built all these instruments like he did his own guitars.

  • beautiful music .. i did like the slide on the dobro a lot tho.. if I was to remember this piece.. likely the slide / dobro would stick out the most for me..

  • i think the midi drums actually work better than real drums would because the real drums would be over bearing and detract from the orchestration of it all

  • WHERE'S THE DROP?

  • @reynaldo010101 I don't think this is Dubstep.. xD

  • can katie perry do that?

  • WOW! Honestly, just wow. This is fantastic easily one of the most relaxing, amazing songs I have heard since I first discovered Ludovico Einaudi. It's artists like him that remind me: music really isn't dead yet.

  • very well played, don't like the electronic drums though

  • Si brian jones nohubiera muerto y hubiera podido ver esto se sentiria orgulloso que lo que el ha influenciao,

el multiinstrumentismo es una forma muy padre de disfrutar la musica desde que existe la grabacion de la musica.

  • I've never seen orchestration like this before. The electronic drums surprised the ever loving heck out of me. It was definitely nice to hear something different.

  • Fuck you if you dislike this great piece!

  • @rearnd for some reason, reading it, i feel like you mis-spelled piece, but i know you didnt.. odd

  • This sounds absolutely great, it reminds me of Chinese music, very relaxing and well played.

  • прикольно))

  • この落ち着いた音楽・・・本当に大好きです!

    寝る前必ず聞いてます!

    これからも音楽活動頑張ってください!

  • Well done sir

  • When it comes to the meaning, some doesn't know anything about it, some just knows it, some lives it but this man feels it. Hats off...

  • Probably the closest to red skin can get,

  • two words

  • mordern bluegrass

  • MAN that bass is fat. :D

  • One of the most impressive performances I have ever seen on YT.

  • I like the music. Could do without the 'percussion' line though. But who am I to criticize , for I am just the listener.

  • without that horrible drums I would probably buy it...

  • 'apalachia' might be a more apropos name

  • I dunno what it is but it has something different vibe in it! me likes:-) dunno of the name 'himalaya' was appropriate for this but great music anyways! keep up the great work dude.. god bless

  • Great tune man. Sorry so many of your fans want you to have Justion Bieber's awful career. Your art and fame are totally enough for me and I wish you the best in the rest of your music career. If it were me I'd rather have a small base of devoted smart fans rather than an army of mindless preteen girls making their dad's buy my albums and concert tickets. Keep up the great work

  • I love it, but it would have a much better sound if he used real, acoustic drums instead of a drum track

  • this is what we call the true music and musician you can can see he can play all kind of instrument....american idol are crap competition!!!

  • @TheLtlpxru no one is calling american idol real music man. Peter is no more in competition with american idol than burger king is in competition with a nice steakhouse. Know things about the music industry before you say these things people! Peter deserves smart fans!

  • Thanks for this song!

  • why can't we get more media attention on these guys instead of stupid crap like beiber or other crap "pop" teen "artists"

  • @Mogani none of you get that Fast food music is always going to get the attention, and those of us smart enough to look elsewhere other than the radio are the ones lucky enough to enjoy all this. All music is listened to a lot, don't demean Peter by acting as if what he does and what pop teen artists do is the same. Sometimes people need bubblegum to chew on(bieber and pop music) and not get any nutrients and other times they need a good meal (Peter and other good music).

  • @266lah i'm not trying to demean what he does its just irks me when i see great music like this and then seeing people like rebecca black getting all that attention. it just boggles me.. there are a lot of great artists here on youtube with some not getting the attention they deserve for making such beautiful music.

  • how many instruments can this guy play?!

  • ff7 great warrior? lol

  • the buildup is so epic

  • 33 people don't know where Himalaya is

  • hell yeah, one man orchestra. very nice piece

  • someone add tabs for the chorus

  • kevin leonardo jonathan says hello

  • wow, very talented!

  • dude the part where they showed protools was nasty.

  • @sachary

    why?

  • Why he is red ? -/-

  • Sick!!!

  • If only you could find a percussionist to replace that nasty beat with no soul..

  • i think about the south whenever i hear this song...

  • @hip142 the south now? or back then?

  • @rockinrandy1234 back in the days on a lazy hot summers day

  • Have u been to the himalayas urself mr. ciluzzi????

  • Comment removed

  • So good!

  • this song is so intense

  • Fantastic song mate, even the drums and xylophones work really well!

  • You people are all too use to pop music. Music thats two and half minutes long, builds in one chorus, then ends. This is slowly building, he gives each instrument time to fully develop. No instrument takes center stage, and while this is the most intense song ever written, it is still powerful and full of emotion

  • @williamthomasmi10 Amen to that!

  • @williamthomasmi10 is the most intense song ever written? umm.. you need to look harder, this song is fantastic, but don't over-compliment so.

  • @Japanorama haaaa haha typo, my bad, meant "isn't the most intense song ever written"

Makes much more sense that way haha>

  • @williamthomasmi10 indeed :)

  • @williamthomasmi10 To make an analogy to help people like you out. Pop music is like Mcdonalds and no real food critic would waste their time saying it's bad. The same should be said about pop music. So many people waste their lives talking down crap as if anyone who is a real music critic would waste their time talking down pop music while pretending musical taste isn't subjective to who you are and where you come from. Run on sentence but who cares......

  • @266lah WHADDYA MEAN "PEOPLE LIKE YOU", HUH????

    ....

I dunno if I like that analogy much. If somebody likes "crap," if you like it who gives a fuck? Personally, I hate it. but hey, I eat Mcdonalds once in a while.

  • @williamthomasmi10 That's my point. I like pop music and Mcdonalds when I'm not feeling super classy. If I had all the money in the world I'd probably only eat gourmet food and have enough awesome records to fill my ears for the rest of my life. But I still might want a burger and some pop music once in a while :) The music world is huge and diverse and there's room for everybody. This conversation wouldn't happen if that were not true

  • I think this is brilliant music and an unlikely and well executed mix of styles and textures. Obviously he wanted the glitchy rhythm or it wouldn't be there… How many of you critics have ever written anything? Easier to sit back and criticize I suppose…

  • His vibrato is......odd, to say the least

  • Absolutely stunning. I will say, however; the drums sound a bit too artificial and take away from the peculiar ambiance of all the song. Other than that, this is a masterpiece.

  • @alex6678 They're synth drums. They're supposed to sound that way.

  • @alex6678

I agree entirely. I thoroughly enjoyed each part he added, besides the drums... that tinny sound is just so frustrating...

  • Why don't you actually play some instruments you know how to play, instead of fooling around with half-finished experiments?

  • @snakeweirdo Really, man? Really?

  • @snakeweirdo that's true, in my opinion this song is some kind of disappointing and boring if you compare it with his other stuff

  • @snakeweirdo Music is not about virtuosity. Most of it comes from the heart. It contains a personal feelings.

I really like the atmosphere of this song.

  • @Bigoron Music does reflect feeling, but it has got to have some idea.. This is Idealess..

It's like a poem, it doesn't matter if your feelings are reflected if they are badly formulated..

  • @snakeweirdo There is no objective opinion.

  • I don´t know why but now i feel stoned

  • love that bass

  • Why doesn't music like this get broadcast on the radio or on mtv?!

  • A true, all-round musician!! There should be more people like him in recognised popular music!

  • Very nice indeed! Keep it up.

  • Its videos like this that make youtube the best thing to ever happen to entertainment.

  • sounds asiatic ;) very nice..

  • nice nice nice - liked that :-) Thank you

  • I hope some day you and all your brothers exactly like you make a concert,

  • That...was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed this. More of this guy, please. :)

    Much love,

  • Masterpiece

  • oh, the joys of multi-track recording (:

  • How many instruments does he PLAY? I am impressed

  • I'm from the Himalayas and I loved this composition. Great Job

  • i just legit missed the 'Like' button... ffs

  • Took me back to ocarina of time!

  • @MelleB90 Yes!!!!! Your sooo right abouth that lol!!!

  • @MelleB90 THUMBS UPPPPP!!!

  • @MelleB90 thats what i thought! :)

  • @MelleB90 FUCK YEAH zelda rules! i gave my childhood to ocarina of time, must have beat it twenty times haha

  • A unique blend of instruments and styles of music. I liked it a lot!

  • all i can say is wow.

  • Rarely do I post comments or feedback, but I couldn't listen and leave without appreciating what I truly feel is music. It was simple and synchronous, and it evoked a nostalgic feeling of my childhood memories in Tibet within me. This was beautiful..

  • really cool! i thought, oh, some new stuff from peter ciluzzi. should be nice, let's check it out ... it was a little bit more than "nice". more like "blown away"!

  • This is the best new music I've heard in a long time.

  • well... I'm amazed...

  • very nice!

  • this should have been in the movie into the wild

  • What are you using to edit the video? I made a similar video using imovie but the quality sucks. Really nice work man.

  • awesome, but, what kind of guitar is the first?

  • @disconnect100 a resonater

  • very well done peter!

  • Awesome but sadly ruined by the awful effect of electronic drums.

  • Those first stringa are on kanYe West's "Gorgeous"

    This Melody is beautiful.

  • YAY cellos! this was beautiful

  • That´s Music !

  • What kind of instrument is the thing on the left side up at 0:39

  • @MrGaBoRG slide guitar i think but I'd be surprised if it wasn't

  • @MrGaBoRG it's a resonator.

  • i alost can feel the waves touching my skin when he play the guitar

  • amazing, Peter... really nice song

  • sounds more chinese than indian(himalayas) ...

  • @sykhophaunt7 The Himalays fall along and within the borders of China as well. K2 sits on the the China-Pakistani border.

  • @sykhophaunt7 and Everest base camp sits within Chinese-controlled Tibet.

  • Calming...Feels like Asia

  • kinda sounded like an acoustic ratatat

  • this is nice. the bass feels over-compressed though. its really fighting on the low notes

  • I think the drums are okay... That gives the song more "mobility"

  • why did i watch this

  • THIS IS AWESOME!!! but would have been better with real drums

  • well it's definitely original in the sense that this hasn't been done before. Not my style though, great job irregardless!

  • Reminds me vaguely of Ryuichi Sakamoto...

  • yeah the MIDI drums worked really well i thought...

  • very nice indeed

  • why play so many instruments and still have to resort to synthesised drums?

  • just a suggestion - but why play so many instruments and still have to resort to synthesised drums?

  • i want to see you playing to a concert at all the instruments at the same time :-S

  • what a truly beautiful composition you have for us Peter Ciluzzi, thanks for sharing. I'm somewhat at a loss of words when trying to express how this absolutely fits my mood right now, being end-of-year and what not....very solemn, it invites an air for self reflection and balance. I must now 1: listen again and 2: download it MP4 so it can transcend to my iPod, like so many predecessors have, so I may share this with family & friends who aren't as YouTube as some of us. I'd give it 5 stars!

  • This stuff reminds me of Casey Driessen. Very Soothing.

  • Holy crap, this dude is awesome!!!! I didn't know he knew how to play this many insturments. But I guess if piano was the first insturment he learned, maybe the rest of them weren't to terribly difficult........

  • i could listen to this all day!!!!!exelent!!!!!1

  • how many instruments do you play?

  • Killer!

  • All it needs now is some cowbell! More cowbell!!!

  • @shamisenjon79 I tell you, we gotta have more cowbell! LoL =p But it was really great! =D

  • i wish i could play that many instruments... tha'ts talent right there, too bad the composition is a bit poor, it's always the same thing and it gets boring....

  • whats up with his guitar?

  • music could always use more xylophone!

  • A lot of instruments he's got there!

  • i think what would've been better is bongo drums in the beginning , and then normal drums for when the electric guitar kicks in at the middle =) But this other than that this is a wonderful composition. =)

  • Stellar.

  • cool but.....kind of tiring

  • Doesn't matter about the drums being synthetic at all. Its a beat and that's all there is to it. Honestly, I put it on whilst I was doing other stuff and thought it was class. Good work mate

  • Wow!Very beautiful yet simple musical pattern arranged with maestry!I found this very relaxing!

  • sleeping....

  • why all the fuzz about the synth drums, i see noone complain about the keyboard... if you think you can do it better, do it yourself, no offence

  • this is kinda gross lol...nothing against his talent but this composition is.....weird...

  • @IBANEZBB103 lol gross...dont worry im kinda thinking that way with this song

  • very nice, but i noticed not everything was completely synchronous. if the tempo were a little faster that'd probably make the issue less noticeable. when the song gets to faster parts you can't notice any timing issues at all

  • Touching...great example of mixing styles to make something of your own...

    i found it beautiful

  • I like it all bar the distorted guitars...

  • I feel much better, thanks.

  • I loved it, wonderful music

  • Freakin' awesome!

    Peter ROCKS! :D

  • beautiful

  • This deserves 1 million views!!

  • talk about multi-lingual
