Our leaders are our deceivers! Isn't it strange how they've covered up this Japan reactor experience. Be careful who you pick in 2012. We may all be sick by then.
We are being contiminated right now here in California. The amount may be small, but I think this is going to put an end to the debate about nuclear power.
great info. glad others are out there helping ppl with this info. be prepared beforehand folks. don't be reactionary and wait until the last minute to take action.
Goya's revenge at work. Solar wind and water power is what we should strive for nuclear is just too dangerous. I am sure the people of Japan were very through in theire planning of their power plants but is seems you just can't plan for every eventuality. We need to live our lives as common as we can we should not put on airs wearing clothes that are just to impress we should be minimalistic as possible never wear clothes that you would not feel like wearing 4 a week if you had to.
@cdltpx Humor me: Wind, solar, wave etc acounts for 1-2% of US power needs. Hell! I say double that: 4%!
How would you want to make up the diferance of 96% that we use, and have to use, everyday?
I have read your bio. With your education, you could invent something usefull for the humanity instead of griping about it and exhalting Carter. The living failure of a US president. Remember 21% motrgages? Or were you too young to get one than yet?
@hetmanbasza Glad to see you are concerned nuclear does not account for 96% it is 20% gross of energy used. First we treat sewerage improperly we can collect methane off the gasses naturally produced that is a huge resevior of energy that could alone probably make much of nuclear energy but it is too cheap for corporations to persue it is something we would have to do indie. My education taught me how to put things together certianly not the expertise to engineer anything from electronics.
@cdltpx I am disabled would love to have a lab where I could use existing tech to solve much of the worlds energy problems I have no job and am dependent on my wife until disability kicks in. I spend more time on the web than anyone should I get books from yard sales that students shed for $1 ea knowledge is extremely tangible in this nation for a small fee sadly the publishers of the books change very little each year and those books are worthless all in the game of education system fleecing US
My father is a genius in electronics. He invented many usfull or usless things depending on how U look at it.
Ironically, he had a patent on flat screen TV's in late 60's. What he did not have was an equivalent of $50 US to make it international. My hopes of knowing a "rich" guy were dashed early in life. Sonny waited out his patent and did their thing... Without bragging on him any more, my point is: I have been a witness to many hours of great ideas passed at dinner table.
However, without a man's commitment and taking on risk with his inventions that's all you will get: Pleasant, exciting dinner conversation.
It takes dogged determination and some cash to get great ideas to the market and that is where over 90% of these ideas will die. They must do for people something that will make a pleasnat impression. Usually they must save them their hard earned $.
Solving problems in theory only works in theory. Rearly theory translates into practice.
@hetmanbasza Exactly why I don't bother to try to invent I could work my ass off to invent something only to find your dad invented it already or I could invent it and someone make a minor change and I am out of business. besides I really don't want to be rich I am already I have a family that loves me. I do want to solve problems problem with that is our problems are attitude not really problems we could choose efficient models but with money as the motivator we will never see that happen.
@cdltpx I see what Edison did to Marconi and it turns my stomach to see how over glorified Edison was. He was a massive prick with more ego than anything he took credit for many peoples inventions he was just an asshole business man. I try to look at it this way if we were more permissive and less concerned with monotary benefit humanity itself benefits for instance life expectancy 100 years ago vs today but we see chasing a buck has caused harm to our people that is shameful now this?
Before U do ANYTHING with Patent Office, U have to do a patent search so U do not waste your time.
Beside making some money as a result of your brain work and not the ultimate reason for it why should anybody want to follow your karma than? What's in there for Joe Q. Public than?
Have U considered that what U consider as "problems" may not be problems at all?
@hetmanbasza When beautiful land is no longer habitable due to radiation we have a problem. When people are thrown on the streets bc fuel prices raised to the levels that they can no longer make it we have a problem. There are more issues out there I have to go.
Compared to other places on this planet, US really does not have a problem with environoment yet. There is more threes, wild game etc. today than when indians lived here.
As a practical solution to a gass price: What do you think about making all veh's be powered by diesel? Infrastructure is here. Less refining since it comes out low on the stack. No stupid bleands for California. Per molecule diesel carries more energy than gasoline and alchohol. Nice & simple.
@hetmanbasza More wild game than when Indians were here WTF where are the massive heards of buffalo? B4 the white man came a brave could drink from any river stream on the continent now there are places where if you get caught in the water you need to go straight to the hospitol and get shots(rio grande). We have people that have fire come out their tap if they strike a match. Granted vihicular proliferlation is a huge problem that will be solved with higher gas prices I got a scooter now?
To be funny, eliminating huge heards of buffalo eased a bit the global warming problem. Amish however, with their cow heards brought us back to exit point and then some! I am in favor of issuing tags for hunting other people's cows! By God! We will make them think twice about 60 heads of cattle! (that's about average Amish cattle farm in Lancaster PA. I do like your ref. to flaming river, the one that ignited 30-some years ago and "Earth Day" was born!
Why hasn’t the Japanese government handed out protective wear, especially around the areas of the Fukushima Daiichi plant where deadly radiation levels have already been detected?
None of the NGO’s (e.g. Red Cross, Oxfam…) has mentioned or is equipped to distribuite radioactive protection wear yet !
Whom should we contact as an expert advisor & advocate for immediate attention to protective wear & official list of “Do’s & Don’ts” ?
Where can we obtain the best concise list of “Do’s & Don’ts during a nuclear radiation crisis” ?
My friends in Japan need one urgently! To conserve electric power, they can’t browse endlessly to search for this info online!
Would radiation protective attire ( i.e. garment, head & face cover) truly help when faced with uranium fission & other by products of such activity? If oxygen tanks are required, is there a built -in outlet on the protective mask?
"Every adult should be aware of the information contained in here."
I find that to be a rather stupid and ignorant statement. So people that aren't at a certain age shouldn't know possible life saving or helpful information?

Well, yes it is. Radiation affects humans and animals on a Geiger counter scale of oh 1.5 , but in Hiroshima's case, The radiation is at very very low levels; or none at all :P
