  • I have the Canon HF100, almost the same camera as yours, why did you go with the Rode vs the Canon DM-100 mic? I assume the DM100 won't fit on that rig but if you could let me know asap it would help in my mic purchase. Thanks

  • @PowderDayProductions I got the DM-100 and it works great with the opteka wide angle. no issue of overlapping with the lens. Haven't used the Rode before. Hope this helps

  • How do you take off the default lens?

  • @Ninjaskull you don't. you just screw on the fisheye and keep the default lens zoomed all the way out!

  • how to you pause the video while recording

  • @Airsmoke99 premiere pro - google "frame hold"

  • i have the same setup. but what editing software do you use??

  • @theNEskate premiere. cs5 now.

  • ..sooo many cuts :0

  • @Spart0xX sorry...... :)

  • LOL " this is great incase we want to throw it in a river after, it will still work... "

  • Please answer, will Opteka Professional .43x High Definition Fisheye Lens and Opteka Opteka .22x High Definition II Fisheye Lens work prefectly with CANON 7D.

  • @dondadaofficial not sure -- but I dont think so

  • @THiNKmediaTV Please reply, will the battery on your page (for the vixia) work for the Canon Vixia HFS200?

  • @dondadaofficial if you dont know then you shouldnt be buying...go check google...asking questions on here is stupid...you will most likely end up with an biased opinion...(not saying this guy did)...check the thread size of the lens youre using and the thread size of the lens'...if theyre the same then they will work...if not then you need another lens or adapter rings..

  • @dondadaofficial Depends what lens you're going to use the fisheye with, for example the opteka titanium 0.3x with the 58mm thread will screw onto any lens with a 58mm filter thread or if you're using one of canon's 50mm prime lenses (the super cheap 50mm f/1.8 II for example), you can get step up ring adaptors (search amazon for a 52 to 58 step up ring) to make the 50mm lens' 52mm filter thread to a 58mm thread and you'll be fine

  • Damn, you guys go all out!

  • does the opteka fit well? im looking at the vixia hf m31 and the opteka and i dont want to get it if it wont fit on, thanks!

  • i have a canon hf r100.....do you think i can put a fish eye if i have the proper step down ring?

  • @oioioi09 yes -- it should work no problem

  • DAMN what size fisheye fo you have on there?

  • @JackQuattrocchi the opteka HD one -- yeah its big

  • Thanks for posting.

  • @alvinso no problem!

  • How much different is the HF M31!

  • @9012oh they are pretty close...

  • Thanks for the video Sean, super dope. Do you do all of your editing with Premier CS5?

  • -by the way, I found Premiere CS5 on ebay for about $130

  • @cojeda415 -- get it :)

  • @cojeda415 thats a great price!

  • @cojeda415 -- yeah

  • @cojeda415 your welcome! yes!

  • haha "if we ever want to just throw it in the river" awesome!!!!lol

  • i have a canon vixia hf r11, how can i convert to a 37mm fisheye lens? will it fit my camera?

  • @alexk9900 -- should work -- just get the necessary conversion ring for 10bucks or less

  • thanks os much for this video

  • @faisel2 no prob

  • Wish I would have seen this video earlier. Just did a shoot with a canon vixia hf m30 with a sennheiser G2 wireless and there was audio static so we had to abandon that and use a boom mic. Great information though. Great style and flava!

  • is this camera compatible with Final Cut Pro 5?

    thanks.

  • @ReMzBoY1 yes

  • Awesome but how much is it? Cheers, chris

  • @AMuncherOfPizza check out the affiliate link

  • what editing do you use? Ii don't have a mac so what program should i use if i get this?

  • @AMuncherOfPizza I use Adobe Premiere --- if you can get CS5 -- it edits AVCHD without needing to convert it! super cool!

  • I dont think my camera has any threads for scewing on attachments, though. bummer.

  • I have the Canon HF100. How does the fisheye lens attach?

  • @studentministry screws on... 58mm thread.

  • @studentministry there is all sort of converters too... to make X thread fit X thread.

  • Very nice set up, You know what else are excellent cameras to use... Canon HD-DSLRs I use a 7D but they also have a cheaper 60D and T2I which all the video from these cameras are identical. But just like every camera they have limitations as well as strengths and I accept the limitations and work with the strengths. Good video!

  • @FatheredByGodForever Indeed! We use those as well... if you check out our channel... there is an interview with "Tony Reale" all about HDSLR's ... He is a specialist! Take Care!
