  • I like how Henry is mad at Charles but then, needs him while in pain. I like their friendship.

  • Jonathan Rhys Meyers , you surely rock my world !! it has to be his best role cause he gave everything , body and soul , anger , you can see every muscle in this strugle .Go johny

  • who was the girl in the photo??? his wife from germany? yes?

  • duchess of milan

  • princess elizabeth was no princess she was rarely talked about because through it all he loved his sons but mary had an advantage too because she was henry 1st child and other royal blood members. that leaves elizabeth well elizabeth really nothing....

  • I thought it was mean that he didn't talk about Princess Elizabeth. Oh well...she was better then all of them in the end. I cant wait for season 4!!

  • aclarenme en el capitulo 6 el niño pole es ejecutado tambien??

  • Cool video and why was Henry was so ill during this scene?

  • The wound on his leg from his jousting accident cannot be totally healed. This scene showed that the wound has gotten worse & that its pus has to be constantly drained manually or else it would make him ill...

  • PRINCESS! Mary - : ) was she at this time restored to the succesion?=

  • Eventually, she did

  • oh, i thought he was making fun of her? or just taking the view of the catholic Plantagenets

  • Honestly, I believe he got rid of the Planteagenets cuz he's afraid tt they might lead the catholics to rise up & put Mary on the throne instead of Edward when he's gone.. Mary was restored to the succession but with terms & conditions...

  • I don't think the plantagenets would have put Mary on the throne. Henry killed them because, apart from their son Reginald being a catholic cardinal and an opponent of Henry's church, the plantagenets also had a better claim to the throne than the Tudors. All occupants of the throne since Edward III had been his descendants, but Henry was descended from one of Edward's sons through his mother, the plantagenets were descended through an elder son. Henry was paranoid about that.

  • True enough. Henry VII technically usurped the Plantagenets and his legitimacy is constantly in question.

  • u know 1 would think that since henry got to the throne through a mother's decent, he wouldn't be so boy crazy. This just goes to show the ill logic in those days.

  • @BabyDLowe Henry VIII got to the throne because his father Henry VII fought and de-throned Richard III, and then married Richard's niece to try and give some legitimacy to his children's entitlement to the throne. A son for Henry VIII meant a king to carry on the line. A daughter meant someone who would marry an outsider who would become King, and the rulers from then on would no longer be Tudors but whatever the King's family name was. Henry VIII wanted to preserve the Tudor dynasty.

  • @BabyDLowe Actually, his mother's life underscored the need for a male heir. As the sole surviving child of a king, she should have been queen in her own right, but because of her gender a boor like Henry Tudor (Henry VII) was able to marry her and claim her birthright by conquest. With few exceptions (Elizabeth and Isabella of Spain being the most notable) people rally around princes and scheme on behalf of princesses.

  • @heliotropezzz333 actually, no. They were descendants of Edward IV's brothers, and daughters... While Henry was the descendant of Edward IV's eldest daughter, who was, after Edward V and Richard of Shrewsbury, next in line, that's why he married her, to give his claim to the throne legitimacy, after Richard III was killed, Elizabeth was Edward IV's heir.

  • @Jamestopboy I don't disagree with what you've said except that Henry VII grabbed the throne before he married Edward IV's daughter. He had no legitimate claim to the throne in his own right. Henry VIII would not have been King if his father had not fought and de-throned Richard, because Henry VII would not then have had the opportunity to father a child by Edward IV's daughter.

  • @JuzTudor70AD also, there is that the Plantagenets, did have a claim to the throne, through Edward IV, they were descendants of his daughters, brothers, and sisters... they could easily killed him...

  • @JuzTudor70AD Henry and his father were always afraid of those who still had Plantagenet blood because they had a stronger claim to the throne than the Tudors did. They could easily overthrow the Tudors and take back the throne.

  • @FlashGORDONXVFFR

No she wasnt, all through season three the princesses were reffered to as princess rather than Lady, they arnt restored to the succession untill season 4!

  • @FlashGORDONXVFFR at this point she had every right to gain the throne after his death. even over the boy because he was like 2 or 3...too young to rule. so it ultimately goes back to mary

  • @brandie7654 actually when a prince is a minor when he comes to the crown, they have someone rule for him to make his decisions for him until he comes of age (16-18). edwards uncle, whome he was named after, was going to be his regent should henry die when edward was so young. and if mary tried to take the thrown, that would be tyrany and she would be put to death.
