This is the perfect knife for backpacking. Attach it to your backpack straps. It is a big, solid, heavy folding knife but it's very manageable for it's size. I'm amazed at how well it is made. They put a lot of thought into this knife. Not an good EDC but I'd buy one anyways.

I EDC the 610 and I have to reach down to make sure it is still there. It is not too big for EDC. I am 5'11" 150LBS.

Yes, it is very big for EDC. THE 710 is good for EDC.

Im comfortable with a 4 to 6 inch long blade for edc, so this would be perfect. sadly i have to get the mini....
