@MegaJesse44 You might have dead ink cartridges... Try running your printer's cleaning and alignment routines. There's usually a button or menu item on the printer itself for this.

@RuneHeroesBase That's the idea - if you download the right driver package for your printer from HP's website, it should give you the exact same software that would have been on your disc (except updated for bug fixes, etc., that happened since your printer was made). Just make sure you only download drivers for your EXACT model number.

Oh My God!!!!! Thank you for this!!!! This really helped me out!!! My printer wasn't printing anything. It every time I would turn it on or plug the USB cable in it would say could not do anything. @GUstanto888 Sounds like your disk is busted! Try to get the drivers for that model off of HP's website - the files you download from their driver support section are usually the same as what was on your disk anyway.

Hey, it definitely sounds like you have a driver problem - I might call HP for some tech support. You could try removing all printers from your computer (uninstalling them from the Printers control panel) and then installing only the driver for the printer you're trying to use. Good luck!

This looks pretty good. One thing though...the basic driver contains the basic software for printing. If you have an HP printer that scans, copies, or faxes, you want to use the full version of the driver or you lose some features - like scanning from the control panel on the printer. You can always uninstall the software you don't want after the driver is installed.

Hmm... Make sure you're selecting the right operating system version (XP, Vista, 32- or 64-bit, etc.). Also, make sure the printer is hooked up and turned on while you're installing the drivers. If that doesn't help, you might want to call HP :)
