One Scottish guy told me they would call the shoes Brothel Creepers. The sole would push out at the bottom sides, they would take a knife and trim them where they would be flat against the shoe again. Some members of Sha Na Na dressed like it too. Put 50's British Teddy Boys in the search engine and see what pops up. I am going to do it.
