I didn't like this format change. The "eliminate the wrong answers" round was the most unique aspect of the original Trivia Trap; once they axed that it became just another ordinary trivia game.
I also missed the animated intro, which was axed with the format change.
The true/false round was interesting, but IMO didn't really fit with the show. I think they wanted to find a way to pad out the game, but make it different from the rest of the game. The biggest problem with the format change was, if the right answer was the "trap" in the original format, then what is the "trap" in the new format?
Eubanks said this was one of his least favorite shows to do. The other was Dream House (which he quipped should've been called "Dream Furniture")
Jackie's such a hottie. I wonder if she still has her Love Boat doo. I do hope Karen lost the mullet. And Tea?!?!? Even "I" knew that was 7-up. Silly Captain Kangaroo man!
HERE COMES THE FASCINATING WORLD OF "TRIVIA" WHERE EVEN THE RIGHT ANSWER COULD CATCH YOU IN A "TRAP" ON "TRIVIA TRAP!" My grandma and I were reminiscing about gameshows today. This was one of ABCs finest gameshows. Even now I stay up late at times if I can stay awake to look at this show.
The bleep sound in Family Feud and the Pathfinder pricing game wrong move sounds are first heard here! Why didn't the original Family Feud use this bleep during it's final season?
The format may be a little rare for a game show but overall the show seemed awesome. Bob Eubanks knows how to oversee game shows. In fact this show had to air about the time I was young and living with grandma, if possible please post more.
(Dragnet theme plays): JUMP THE SHARK MOMENT HERE!
This new first round really confused me, even after watching it 30 times still confuses me. Also, the opening spiel is extended and the white stars in the yellow-orange background are removed and the names Seniors/Juniors are also removed from the players' backgrounds.

That is a really good question. Considering both shows were on ABC they could have done it if they wanted to, but they didn't.

Actually it's not a bleep but a 'reveal' sound instead.

That's the signal from the Price is Right Pathfinder.

why does that buzzer soud familiar?
nextbarker 4 years ago
It was later used for a wrong answer in the Pathfinder game on the Price is Right.

the sound that seemed familiar to me was the "reveal the 4 possible answers" sound.
And u know what I remember: FF Combs Fast Money "Reveal answer"
That was driving me crazy!

Okay...I really didn't dig this version of the show. I really didn't dig the Fact or Fiction round at all. In my opinion it slowed the game down.
