Joey Molland is one of the underrated musical greats. He never gets enough credit for the songs he wrote with Badfinger. I even heard Mike Gibbins say he only wrote one good song in his time with Badfinger (which he said was "Suitcase"). Completely untrue. Even though he didn't write this song, he wrote many, many great songs, and I believe he wrote more quality songs than Evans and Gibbins combined.
@kringles4 Oh he is and he is so down to earth. Joey is at Beatle week in Liverpool this year, we are going to see him perform i really cant wait, a true great. What a lovely comment you have made as w ell.
@senbean my wife was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and we really want to travel....Joey seemed to light up in my wifes presence.....I feel bad for him....thank you for the nice comments back. ram on, Joe and Linda.
Very cool....Joey doing his own songs is always a treat. He wrote a lot of great stuff with Badfinger.....I know people want to hear the hits....but his catalog is very strong without doing Pete's material.
I've met Joey three times, between 1992- 1999, and each time was gracious, a true gentleman to those who waited for him after his shows. He would let us in his backstage room and "hold court", patiently answering questions, offering anecdotes as well as autographing various things, except someone's Matovina book. I hope to see/meet Joey again someday!
Hmmm...been hearing a lot about this Dan guy.....so sad there are people like that still around....I have to admire Mr. Molland for persevering in spite of
Dan Matovina is now posting comments as runrunrunaway3, he can't be seen to be himself because he's scared and a coward, be careful of this man.
Matovina has now sold Ham tracks to Japanese bootleggers for a back hander doing the whole group out of their rightful royalties, he is named on the bootleg as well as a couple of his close friends.
He also posts comments promoting his own book pretending to be somebody else.
Joey is fantastic. He is a brilliant musician and works damn hard and puts his all into everything he does. He will go down in history as one of the greats.
We met Joey at Chicago Beatle Fest a few weeks ago -- he was so kind and gracious, really the sweetest rock star ever!! and talent?? no contest

Never saw a Rickenbacker bass such as the bassist's in this clip. Is it vintage and if so what is the model? Thanks!

Nice version Joey...despite not the most flattering recording, but then, that was someone else, eh? So what's this deluge on Matovina all about?
Best and Peace.
