  • That is a really beautiful cake! I love the muted pink color and butterflies. It's lovely.

  • @utubegal661 Thanks :)

  • Can you please tell me where you got the butterfly cookie cutter from? its very pretty with texture.

  • @crazymary789 I got it from Lindy Smith website.

  • @nivia91 Hey

this cake was amazingly beautiful. i wish to make one like this :)

! I'm just starting cake decoration.. I want to buy fondant cutters, can you suggest which ones are the most useful ones which are like must haves? i'm short on a budget.

  • @crazymary789 Thanks :) I use a lot modelling tools and flower cutters. I use to buy cutters according to my clients requirements for the cake.

  • @nivia91 you're most welcome, ive always loved butterflies and this cake is my dream come true. I've also started a business in my city, hope i can be as good as you. Im ordering a few cutters, so can you tell me the most essential ones? the ones that are must haves and a good site or store to buy them from?

  • @crazymary789 I usually use the modelling tools a lot and cutters a buy them whenever I get an order that requires them. Dont go crazy buying things that you may never use, do it little by little and when needed.

  • @nivia91 which colour did you use on butterflies?

  • Omg had to turn the volume down wth that cover shartie? Wth sounds funny but the cake was amazing great vid xxx

  • What is the edible glue?

  • @swarso1 CMC and water

  • WOW THAT IS FREAKING BEAUTIFUL OMGGGGGGGGG

  • @9506MJ Thank you so much

  • wow that's beautiful! you say to leave the bow bits and butterflies to dry for a couple of days... did you use a fondant or gum paste (I thought gum paste dried really hard quite quickly - man this is all very confusing :o)

also is that just an edible glue on the bow and butterflies?

    Thanks for the great video!!

  • @EmmaFlower84 I use gumpaste. You still need to let it dry for minimum of 12 hours depending on temperature. I use edible glue and royal icing as glue as well.

  • I also agree,a request for you to show how you put the bow together, please. x

  • Is the song cover from happyslip

  • are you the one singing?

  • @maryjones90 No, I am not!

  • Where did you get the butterfly stencil? Or whatever that was!

  • @NoTimeForBullCrap from Lindy Smith website

  • how did you make the butterflies shiny

  • @mghabbour I used a pearl edible spray

  • Beautiful. I hope u decide to show how to assemble the bow. If u accept requests, that'd be mine. Thanks for the video!

  • @brandnewflavainyaear Thank u, I will see what I can do!

  • Amazing, I love the colours :-)

  • What a gorgeous! cake and how its so neat, butterflies are absolutely cute :)

  • @comethouse Thank you so much :)

  • beautiful cake :)

  • @bah12011 Thank you so much :)

  • Thanks for teaching how to make butterfly..

    .

  • @cecilecakes629 My pleasure :)

  • Those butterflies are absolutely gorgeous! Did you just use luster dust on the?

  • @stacikelly Thank you. Yes I did, only lustre dust :)

  • I love this cake-it's very similar to one I'm making right now, but I made 2 tiers; 1 ivory and the other pink. Would you recommend gumpaste or fondant bows? Absolutely love your videos-your work is extremely neat...I'm learning a lot from it. Thank you!!!

  • @taboo43 Thank you so much for your wonderful words, they are very appreciated. About the bow, I would definetely make them with gumpaste so they dry hard and hold its shape. :)

  • How did you scallop the edge of the fondant on the cake board?

  • @cookie42476 It is called crimping. There loads of crimping tools on the market with different designs.

  • I see that you said you used royal icing as glue. I was wondering how the butterflies stay on the side of the cake. Did you have any trouble with getting them to stay on? I would think that they would fall off. Is there any trick to it?

  • @cookie42476 Royal icing dries hard quite quickly so the butterflies stay on the cake without a problem.

  • This cake is simply beautiful! I love what you did with the ribbon - I'll have to try my hand at beading with royal icing. Speaking of hands, yours are so pretty! I know that may be wierd, but my hands get so dry and cracked when I make cakes so to see such well manicured hands from a pro makes me a wee bit jealous. hahahaha - all in good humor:)

  • @ChrisJack1212 Thank you so much :) Do you wear gloves? Sometimes the powder in the gloves can cause that on your hands!

  • That looks too good to eat!

  • How much would u charge for this cake

  • @Frbasora Maybe £60 - £70

  • oh that's for the tip with the royal icing, i'll have to give it a go. I've only just gotten into cakes, i went out today and bought everything from paint brush's to luster dust. I was wondering what you have put on your butterflies and how you put it on to make them have that shimmer? :)

  • @MrsCathyTaylor I just used pearl lustre dust and dusted them once they were dry!

  • that is a really beautiful cake!!! How did you attach the little white balls on the ribbon and what are they made of?

  • @MrsCathyTaylor I used royal icing and piped the tiny balls

  • Thank you so much for responding :) I use wilton food coloring paste. I have never heard of the brand sugar flair. Do they have a website?

  • @cookie42476 You can find it in any sugarcraft website.

  • I recently made a cake and decorated it with pink gumpaste roses. The roses faded overnight to about half the intensity of what they were. Has this ever happened to you and if it has, do you know why? I noticed the fondant ribbon I made faded also, but not as much. I was wondering if I did something wrong. Also, I recently saw your new cakes and they're so beautiful. I especially love the giant cupcake. So cute :)

  • @cookie42476 Thank you :) Some food colouring paste tend to do that. I dont know which you are using to colour your sugarpaste but I usually use sugaflair. Hope this helps :)

  • What a wonderful cake !! 2 Thumbs Up !!

  • @RiaYudi Thank you so much, that is very nice of you :)

  • Beautiful bow and cake.!!! Have you made a video on how to assemble the bows together? If not I would love to see your work... Merry Christmas and may you continue to be bless with your talent...

  • @pearloso Thank you very much :) I havent got a video on how to assemble the loops, I may make one if there is an opportunity to make it :) Take care and happy holiday!

  • I love this cake. It is so beautiful and elegant. You have such talent. Could you tell me what color pink coloring you used for the bow and details? Every time I color gumpaste or fondant with pink, it seems to come too vibrant and intense.

  • @cookie42476 Thank you :) I used just pink colouring paste by sugarflair. I add only a tiny bit, the tip of a toothpick. Hope this helps!

  • This cake is gorgeous! Where can I find that butterfly cutter? Also, what are the white dots on the bow? Is it royal icing? I love the look.

  • @danielle42476 thanks :) you can find them on any sugarcraft website supplier. The dots are royal icing!

  • do u use real glue? if not what do you use?

  • @brenie18 It is sugar glue (tylo powder + water)

  • @biznitchy420z Thanks :)

  • hi can i ask u what u used to get the pearlized affect on the butterfly, u did it on another cake too the pearl dots and where u bought the cutters.

it looks really beautiful and elegant, good job.

  • @rareyellowdiamond It is pearl spray and bought together with the cutter from a cake decorating website supply.

  • Beautiful cake Nivia - love your butterflies ; )

  • @mackandnorm Thanks sweetie

  • Who is singing the song on your video?

  • Hi....where did you get the butterfly stamp?

  • @CuteeBeauty From any cake decorating website supplier

  • Oh, so that's what I'm doing wrong! Thanks!

  • Hermoso, me encanto la combinacion de rosa con blanco. Beautiful Nivia--you made go buy a patchwork butterfly press--a little dissapointed it wasn't an actual "cutter", but I can't wait to try it!!!!

  • It is a partchwork cutter, that is the name of it. If you have your paste thin enough, it can cut through it. Sorry that it wasnt what you expected.

  • very classy cake!

  • Thanks Irene :)

  • I love that cake. I just bought a ribbon cutter but I thought it made the dots. I was disappointed but I just realized that the dot had to be added with Royal icing. I am so glad I stumbled on to your sight. You make things look so easy. You do have beautiful hands.

  • Oh thank you so much Christine for such lovely comment :) Sometimes I do buy things expecting more and then I get dissapointed :(

  • seriously that is the cutest cake everrrrr!!!!

  • Thank you so much, you made my day :)
