ive got a touchsmart and i can tell you that does not work! its completly unresponsive and not tactile at all. what driver are you running on the hp?

I upgraded Windows 7 build 7100 from Vista on my HP TouchSmart IQ818 and it perfectly works! When you want to use multi-touch feature you will need to install that software - go to google and type "NextWindow's Windows Driver Download" then download the file :-) Dont worry about software compatibility as Win 7 is very compatible with vista. When you upgrade it, you must click to check compatibility and if they show any software incompatibility with Win7, you must uninstall it before upgrade it.

The monitor be built into the desk or have a feature that allows it to slant. I've had a little experience with these touch screen monitors; it's a pain on the arms after a while.
