How old were you when you got braces and had the surgery? I'm 22 and entering a 4 year university program next year. I don't want my underbite nor do I want braces during that time. And even thinking about how much this will cost while I'm a student is such a headache. My life sucks.
How did you handle this financially? Being a student, I'm already left with no money, I can't imagine how I would pay for a $20,000+ procedure.
It depends how straight your teeth are. My teeth are pretty straight but they do not line up perfectly so that they would fit together with my top part of my mouth if i were to bite down. The braces are expanding the lower part of my mouth out so that the top part can fit perfectly into the bottom of my mouth. I guess it varies per person, but they would probably make you get braces just to make sure that your teeth are very very straight to avoid any conflict when you get surgery.
u look good , but u need braces And then surgery , your upper jAw hAve to move a little bit forwArd mAy be 3 or 5 mm . but then mAy be your nose looks different After surgery . good luck
Your teeth actually look mercifully straight. Hopefully that means that you won't need braces for more than 12-15 months, including post-surgery. My ortho said mine will only stay on for 3 months after surgery, which will put me at 12 months total. And my teeth were not as straight as yours starting out.
I am doing braces videos too! I have an overbite that will be corrected with jaw surgery in 2012 :) Subscribe :):):)

Your teeth are straight. I have compacted teeth AND an underbite. Yikes! I cant afford braces or surgery. I also have a large bottom lip.

your underbite does not look that bad...
you can close your teeth at least, so it does not make your head looks so long or big..
but anyways, good luck!

I have to smile that same way, so I only show my top teeth. One day it will be just a bad memory.
