to be honest, considering this is a tutorial from a tutorial website with the name EXPERT, this spider-man picture is EXTREMELY amateur. I know it's a quick sketch but no expert would ever draw a picture so flat with the body proportions so off. Every expertvillage video I see is like this and the comments are filled with people who agree, I'm really starting to wonder if this is a joke site like union news except they try just hard enough so no one knows for sure, either way fuck these guys

One of the absolute hardest tools of the trade to explain is comics. Every single artist can only show you how to do a specific character in a specific pose. He hasn't show a single word on how to draw comic characters of any kind. Finding that core bit on the art seems impossible. It seems you have to already have a grasp on most concepts to learn any of this, leaving room only for the naturally talented.

If I could offer anyone advice, please DO NOT get your reference from other drawings! The only way you will learn is drawing from real life!!! You will never get good copying off comics!

The only references you CAN get are from other drawings...you're confusing reference with copying. Reference is studying and understanding the concepts, copying is just copying the concept. But you're right, if you copy, you won't get anywhere.

Yeah, you will never ever understand form if you just take it from comic books. You have to see the whole thing and see how the surface 'wraps' around. Life drawing classes (not just human anatomy) are one of the absolute best things you can do.

Anime is just a style. Learn to draw realistic anatomy, then go about stylizing. Anime is really just a more cartoony face, hair, and typically longer legs. Everything else follows realistic drawing rules.

It's impossible to learn to draw something from a 4 minute video, you've just got to practice again and again and again.
