I remember the 89 Grey Cup. It was a great game, it seemed like the last team to have the ball was going to win. I do remember somthing weird about the ending. With less than 1 min left the Tiger Cats intercepted the ball, they went to a commercial and after the commercial the Roughriders kicked the winning feild goal. How did they kick the field goal after Hamilton intercepted and had posession of the ball. The commentators never explained that one, they must've said nothing to not ruin the gam
rggilies, I do remember an interception with less than a minute, commercial and returned to the Roughriders kicking the winning field goal. If that's not what happened can you please refresh my memory. What happened in the last 2 minutes of the game?
The show the game a lot on ESPN Classic Canada if you have it. The ticats scored a touchdown with less than a minute left with tony champion and then the drive with ridgeway field goal with 6 scds left. They kicked off the the cats and in a last effort the hamilton player kicked the ball forward glen suitor recovered ran out of bounds and the riders won the cup
I still am unclear as to what happened because I remember the tiger cats intercepting the ball, a quick commercial and then Saskatchewan kicking the winning field goal. They didn't show the replay so maybe the interception was ruled incomplete, but because no replay and no explanation from the commentators I was confused. The Hamilton interception must have been ruled incomplete.
Yeah '01 was a choke job. But in '07 Blue came within a minute of winning. Even in losing Bomber fans were proud of their guys.
The way Rider fans were yapping before the game, it was gonna be a rout, a forgone conclusion. Riders didn't even meet the point spread half way. Not a choke Rider boy.
'LOL who can forget' that Bombers have 10 Grey Cups and Riders only 3.

Umm, I'm not sure if it happened the way you remember... You might want to hunt down some copy of the 89 Grey Cup to refresh your memory.

Remember 1989? Nope. I'm a Bomber fan so I remember 1988 and 1990. Blue won it both those years. Thats thetotal Riders have won forever!

You must also remember 1992, 1993, 2001 and 2007, the years you lost. LOL, who can forget the choke job you guys pulled of in '01.

Choke job? Man, I'm an Als fan and if anyone choked it was the Riders. Open your eyes, all you can see is green.

I was referring to 2001 (which I believe was also the year the Als started off 9-2, only to lose 8 in a row).
