Its due to the influence ratatosk has on him in combat, think of it like the incredible hulk or ichigos hollow form in belach and your treading the right lines...its his cool ass kickery mode of heightened bloodlust and anger, and because its fuelled on his ratatosk powers he becomes almost intirely different.
