Thank You John! great music and songwriting. Don't know how you manage all that you do, but thanks for your hard work and for making our lives more enjoyable.
We had John play at our Unitunes venue in Houston this year, and he put on a wonderful show to a great audience. I'm always amazed by how his singing voice and his speaking voice are so different...I love every song on his first first two albums, depressing or not...!!! Like always, seeing a performer like him live is always a treat.
thanks for this video. God, he's so damn good. Love this song and this album. Love that you got Raven in the Storm on camera, too. I saw him last year or so, and I requested it, and he had some witty way of telling me he couldn't remember it. Good to see it here. If you have a copy of this whole show, I'll gladly pay for you to send me a copy. John is the hamster in the wheel of my life. Cheers
I used to have a John Gorka tape my dad made me from Maine. I lost the tape over the years and thought I'd lost my connection with John Gorka in the process.. thanks for posting this, glad to see and hear him once again. Can't find his music around here, our local record stores are all closed up, and Best Buy is all we have. Is it really a best buy when all you have to choose from is top 40 crap?
Ugh, this song absolutely depresses me - it hits way too damn close to home. It's an excellent song, one of my favorites, but it's the kind of song they will play at my funeral. Work weighs particularly heavy on me sometimes.
A total gift to music. Gorka is one of the very best. He is right up there will Dylan and Van Zandt. One of the greatest American songrwiters in history.

He is a gift to the few of us, the ones that are lucky enough to have come across him..
I hope with time that more and more people will discover his music...
