@bladedlightning yeah mud snow is really only effective for afew select monsters but I prolly could gem in a better active through my charm but really the most important thing is those HG earplugs cause you can KO them in the middle of the roar and they drop right when everyone is recovering

when you got the legas wounded attack his sides there his most vonerable spot and you can do more damage thet way and you take less damage too best to use a sword and sheild and hammer or longsword because they do lots of hits.

@manray909 Great swords are a good choice too, especially with a set that has critical draw and focus. You do a lot, A LOT of damage per hit. Quality, not quantity.

@manray909 There's really no better weapon choice if you build a good set for it. The rest is personal skill with weapons.

For gs, use a helios+ mix. Don't use Vangis for GSing, no matter what you see people online using. They almost always get roar-stomped. However, I still reccomend Vangis for LS/SnS, especially if you're using Alatreon Star or Dark Claw Demise. You will do a ton of damage with purple sharpness and atk up L.

My hammer set active skills are HG earplugs, sharpness +1, focus, and negate mud/snow and the 2 hammers I mainly use are devil's crush and alatreon metamorph the latter being the more consistently used... My gear is Helios+ (helm, chest, arms).. Reg Helios (waist)... And vangis leggings.. My talisman is a rare five 2 slotter with +10 negate mud/snow so I got sorta lucky there but it's a great set Its the best for breaking ala's horn

@Hardcoreguy92 Mud/snow is kinda useless imo. I have queen talismans like that with sneak and dragon res+10. The rest of the set is the same; very solid for breaking ala horns.

@Criseman100 Didn't even pay that much attention to it. HR doesn't matter that much after 150.

I just have to point out that binding Jhen DOES NOT increase the dragonator damage, and you'd be far better off using a vangis / helios mix with sharp+1, crit draw and HGE, using anguish (p).

@nessonett I already use a helios+ set, except with regular helios leggings. I have all that and guru to top it off. As for weapon choice, revolution is still a valid choice in my opinion, considering all elder dragons are extremely weak to dragon element. I rarely use anguish since it's impotent compared to Devil's Crush (P), plus I prefer sharper swords.

I personally like Escadora. It's a lot of fun to play around with, though not optimal for this mission. I like it more than Vangis.

Hey BL, i got a question since this happened to me a moment ago. Have you ever been asked "Are you Bladedlightning from youtube blade?" or something like that? Also, i think you a bit over exaggerated about the mouth instant kill, because i fought Jhen+ and i got stuck there, because one of us kept shooting it's mouth and constantly hit me. i had full 150 HP and it took away about 40% of my health, and i had only about 400 defense.

@bolllzack A couple times, yeah. 2 or 3 in fact.

For most anyone it would be instant death unless you had maxed or near-maxed + armor or something similar. If this really was Jhen+ you probably had Divine Blessing or the Felyne Defender food skill. Those have a chance of cutting damage by 30%

Soon I'll be making an ala video, hopefully to show off me getting my 11th skypiercer and finishing the entire ala lineup; weapons and armor.

@Bladedlightning Actually no, i didn't have have anything like that. i just had all level 4 agna+ armor. I had felyne fire walker and nothing else. And also to that Drago with binder damage thing, it seems to work. At least with a run with my friends it killed Jhen, even though we have had better runs damage wise and it didn't die with Drago. i even have it on video and on my account.

@bolllzack I use maxed alatreon or yamato+ armor or and it still takes about 55% of my maxed health methinks. I always escape from the mouth on time nowadays though so I haven't really tested that out. My memory could be a little fuzzy.

The nator doesn't usually kill it on my side either. Last hunt I was on there were 3 people using demise, so it didn't even get close to the ship.

I have a two questions. At what point should I start going to the city? After I finish the Village? And at what point can you make the armor you have?

@awesomechao I'd say get some decent equipment first, then attempt the city. You can't make the Escadora set until you're at least HR 50.

Does anyone know what exactly a sonic bomb do because it just seems useless i've try to throw a few of them but all it does is a sound and it doesn't seems like it affected the monster

@Fonicblade It's used to stun Diablos and Agnaktor when they go underground. Only catch is it doesn't work when they're raging. Gotta be relatively accurate too.

Congrats, Blade. I have done something cool too, only Devilhjo Tundra battle and i have done every quest in the game (unless 6 star has advanced). But to your accomplishment, only being HR 61, i have a LONG way to go.

@bolllzack If you've got a gold medal award, you've got every online quest. 6* has no adv.

Once you get up to around HR 80 you'll notice more and more high-level people joining your cities. I've met up with a number of unbelievably high-level people such as Grannd M, Sheppard, eze, and so on. Just gotta work on unusual tasks.

Yeah, it's sad how people with high HR say they've done this quest multiple times, but make dumass mistakes that botch thet mission for those who needed it

@yosoybangoo I've seen an over 100 HR waste the gong. It does happen, cuz high HR usually get complacent about lower-level quests. Sometimes happens to me.

@zarrurer12 It is fun, if you learn to prepare correctly for each mission. Even then its still unfair as hell and will cheap shot you till you learn the monster's patterns, it's an amazing game, especially online with other people (at my skill level).

I don't usually hunt with newbie hunters. Might pop in out of nowhere , do a mission with them and vanish before they bombard me with friend requests, but that's it. Usually I've got my own hunting to do.

I have always seen monsters like Jhen Moran as pretty easy in general, except a lot on the the success of the mission relies a lot on the reliability of your teammates. I feel the same about Alatreon. In general he is farily easy, but if your teammates are dumbasses and are liabilities, you might as well find new teammates. Like the person who wastes the gong when they shouldn't have >_>
