  • we are bless in america imagine depending on 1$ a day thats not even a 4 piece nugget

  • i don't like watching this.... it makes me want to cry for the poor kids..... may God help us Nigerian

  • If you're so poor than why you keep having children, why not stop and end the cycle.???

  • better the children are free to be outside and happy than spend 10 years locked in a school building forced to learn whtaever books are imposed on them

  • This is disgusting in regards to you only highlighting the poorest parts in Nigeria as if the entire place is like that. If you wanted to show Nigeria you should have higlighted both good and bad. I'm not from Nigeria I'm from the caribbean but find that you people go to these places only to seek out the worst and put it here on youtube as if the entire continent is this bad. FYI: Here in America isn't paradise either.

  • @HotAReady I am from the Nigeria, and you are wrong. It is a dirty, awful place and everybody criminal. America is PARADISE.

  • @miamad It's sad that you would throw stones behind you when it come to your homeland. No matter where in the world you are from never disown it. Pray that one day God will make things better. America is NOT paradise, you have a lot of learning and growing up to do.

  • @miamad You are NOT Nigerian, okay. You are from the Faroles Island and last time I looked, it not part of the USA. You are a moronic racist. Get an education, loser!

  • @H1MLA No, I put faroe islands on my profile because I am embarrassed to be from Nigeria.

  • @miamad You are clearly a moronic racist fool, who trolling on YT, racially abusing others with more intelligence than you. If you are from Nigeria, I'm the long lost son of King James 1.

  • I just dont understand with what intention they have for showing ONLY the poor settlements whenever they want to show places there. There are countless number of urban settlements with good roads, amenities and everything u would need in a city. Whether u accept this fact or not, there are always places where poor people live in every country of the world, and its not their fault. Pu-eaaaasseeeee!!--Yor-

  • ok, help me understand this, if 99% of people make less than a dollar a day, why do i see so many veheicles?

  • Hey stupid you should listen before you comment. He said in "that area" which is most likely true

  • it was a valid question and the more thumbs up i get the mare valid it is

  • ok you got no thumbs up now and do you mean more instead of mare

  • whooo, you got me there, now go put on your over coat and go to spelling bee

  • @MrYpres to answer your question, thats why you see 6 people on a motorbike at the same time :-)

  • nigerians cant complain about british coloniolism anymore, british have been gone a long time, they ruled india aswell, but india is doing well, and they are looking like they will soon be a world superpower, if higerians could pul together and work for a better nigeria, nigeria could be up there aswell

  • Truth Inside Africa without europeans blaming & begging get you nowhere.

  • You can see where Africa been getting help from other countrys for years--where the money is going to------POLITICIANS POCKETS---------LOOK WHAT THEY LIVE IN-----When is the people of Africa and leaders of other countrys gonna step up and say-----lets investigate where the money is going and if it is being spent on anything other then helping the whole country-prosceut the thiefs and corrupt politicians

  • lagos nigeria is the ghetto. crime gangs arm robbers. even drug dealers. no different from from alot of cities in the world. dont get me wrong. naija has its good places too. but nigerians are not patriotic. until that time come people will always pickout the negative of another country or about a people they know nothing about.

  • am a ghanian and i dont even like pple who insult niger or any african country especially american because 400 years we builded america in slavery if it wasnt 4 our labour america wouldnt be what it is today so if a white person talks about africa like that it makes me mad

  • @ghanagal7 If you built America 400 years ago, what is taking you so long to build your own country? LOL!

  • @ghanagal7 suck dick ghana fag!

  • The song in the beginning is called "Yiri Yiri Boum' by Gnonnas Pedro. You can get it of the From Congo To Cuba Album.

  • why do people only reflect the negatives in africa, those that do this help promote racism as is evident in the comment below

  • @sexymalcom1970 africans are a bunch of fools , they have been studying for many years in schools all over the world but still they live like rats in lagos . wheres the money from oil , diamonds , ghana has gold but look how run down ghana is .... africans been selling out there people for hundreds of years and thats way they still do nothing for there people

  • @bushmanaka1 speak for yourself only ignorant and stupid people stereotype.

  • for that nonsense idiot who made the comment below me, thuda strike you pappa balls na day born you! ya?

  • White people live in shitholes too. Have you ever been to Alabama?

  • ignoramus wanker.... i've seen whites, i mean several of them are drunk and they reli suck

    Thanks in advance.

    Peace and Love

  • Thank you for posting this invaluable piece ....The US had it's share of things like this in the 50's in areas like Mississippi.

I hope the African Churches "RCCG,Deeperlife, etc of the World can assist in anyway they can.How can i help ? How can i contribute to further your goal.I want to be my brothers keeper.Too often we forget that charity begins at home.Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention

  • see this old fool wey dey disgrace naija like that.......... ya papa fool oooooooo

  • i dont care what nobody says. Nigeria is beautiful. its hood over there. Gangs, drugs, poverty, and etc. then again we have business's and beautiful metropolitan areas. No different from places like jamaica or any other island or india. just curupt leaders that give my country a bad image. no matter what, naija will always be my home land

  • what is the music playing at 2:10? its beautiful.

  • thanks for the food, but i think they should better take them out of that stinky water and provide some educational tools, incase thay really want to help.

  • Nice exposure! I was only concern about the manner in which the food were thrown to the helpless kids

  • If you can survive in Lagos, you can survive in any where in the universe.

  • Thank you for the video. Good work.

  • Point of correction this people shown living on stilts are not Ilajes they are the Eguns from Benin Republic. Although the inland area is occupied by the Ilajes while the Eguns live on water. They live in this area due to their main occupation which is fishery same as the Eguns.

  • is it possible to ever get a good leader in nigeria? will things ever get better? the more i see these things, the more i never want to go back home. dear GOD, why r naija leaders so selfish?

  • what part of naija ar u frm, i dnt kno the reason why pple alwaz post the negative area of nig. let me tell u, there are some area in naija worth going to. so ease off ur negativity about the government.

  • Are you also part of the evil government? Even in the so called "affluent areas" (which is mediocre), basic amenities including constant electricity, good roads, regular phone lines, constant water supply etc, etc are practically nonexistent. No matter how good looking or reputable anywhere is, if these basic things are not to be enjoyed, then its critical mediocrity and stupidity.

  • seriouslly, what are you tryin to say. coz ur name OLUSEGUN sounds like u are related to the former president, which means u maybe part of the evil government

  • We may have the same name sake but I aint related to Obasanjo in any way. Nevertheless, Nigeria's infrastructural mediocrity had long been present since 1960, through successive military miscreants' rule till today. All the government successsions have been fantastically evil in ruining that nation with one of the worst corrupt policies in the world. Even in Aso rock, light is epileptic (etc). So is there anywhere in Nigeria with basic amenities to be constantly enjoyed? You decide.

  • ok, bt what do u think shld be done so naija can be save, or u dnt give a damn?

  • It's a big job; leading this nation to the path of prosperity recovery will have to involve stepping on too many toes of evil political people who justify religion (etc) to help propagate their continual sinister kleptomanic and corrupt mentality as well as the exaltation and exhortation of critical mediocrities. The mind set of the rulers needs changing towards honesty, sincerity, love etc and pentecostal christianity.

  • A mentality in which "if I see someone progressing, I'll bring him down", "If I'm also in power, I'll embezzle as much as possible" etc, etc, not collecting loans from the IMF or World Bank etc, improving the value of the currency, incentives been given by government and private sectors alike aimed at improving lives of the masses, corruption elimination, policies ensuring all children be educated and honesty been taught them etc, etc. If these are done, you'll see improvements.

  • As you might notice, it's one thing to make (good) laws or incentives, it's another thing to implement these. If the mental setting of all strata of people are changed and geared toward development (e.g. like the Japanese), massive improvements will be noticed in short a time. There's no way all these steps be implemented without stepping on the toes of evil people. Also all these with prayers to God for guidance and success are essential or do you have any other suggestions?

  • The thing to be done is simple: Let Biafra go; Let the Niger Delta go; let any group that wants to exit it be permitted to do so. Then if they want to associate in anyway they can negotiate the terms. This is because Nigeria is founded in evil and sustained in evil and until it is dismantled, it will continue to breed evil. The sole problem of Nigeria is, "one Nigeria"

  • the issue of let biafra go or niger delta is nt the problem, the situation hv been there even b4 the problem of niger delta begun.

  • I wonder why everybody keep believing that Obasanjo's gorverment is so bad? I think Obasanjo's Gov. wasn't has bad has we were made to belief in conparising to some other govermens we have witness in the past.

  • thank you for helping to feed our leaders of tomorrow. may God bless you all.

  • ascari419,Pls be guided, the guy is talking about ilaje in lagos state not in Ondo state the SUNSHINE STATE

  • very interesting. and can u tell me the name of the song??

  • ilaje is part of ondo state, so what happen to money from oil derivation? ondo state is oil producing state

  • Please don't do that because that is not cool at all.

  • please God safe all those kidz, worldwide!

  • The problem of Nigeria is the government. I am tired of them been too dependent on the governmnet. If the people can see well, they will know that the country is a land of opportnities.

  • l weep for my country.l know what is like there,i experienced what is like growing up in Nigeria.the country is nevertheless very rich and prosperous but our leaders are funks.l wish a Godly and good leader will come somedays...

  • Nigeria is a shame.I hope we finally get a leader who is ready to serve than steal the money and deposit in European and Asian banks.Years of corruption and military rule have brought an otherwise richest nation on earth to its knees!

  • S45,000,000,000.00 oil revenue per annum....and that was before oil went up to $98 per barrel.

  • SAme question for Mexico. How come is possible that sucha rich country has 60+ millions of poor people? Answer is quite straightforward...

  • it's because the people who are in charge in the government are corrupt and greedy. they use the money which is supposed to be used on the country and the warfare of the country on themselves and on their own personal use. if only they would take the money which is suppose to be used on these people, they could at least get every house in every state, town, and village would have running water, electricity, and good roads which would be a good start. I pray that God bless my country Nigeria.

  • what's this music? it's fantastic :-) ....

  • This is ridiculous and silly. How can a country that produce so much oil and sell them for so much money have so many people living in so much poverty. How can the last Speaker and the ex-governors explained this- after spending over $5,000,000.00 ($5million) to RENOVATE an official residence and the rest of people are living this poor. Did you people know that the oil wealth in Nigeria belongs to ALL Nigerians and should be used to help all! I am beginning to have a headache!

  • im a jamaican but i love nigeria i never really knew that these stuff still happens over there.I hope it gets better.

  • its funny how u feel everything is all good until u are brought back to reality with videos like this....... im almost cryin. 1 love AFRICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nigerians are beautiful people, my good friend is Nigerian and he and his wife are terrific individuals. I know this sounds patronising but i'm tired of all the negative statement made about Africa/Middle East, stop meddling in their countries and playing them against each other with your Western dollar, maybe then they can get a leg up. Stop raping their countries of it's resources and ignoring it's people.

  • i know nigeria is a poor country. The whole country is in poverty but it looks like the north part of nigeria is in a lot more poverty than the south. Something i don't get. The whole country should be in the same level.

  • the concept is that the people in the north do not wanna get educated because they see it as a waste of time but the people in the south are educated so they have better jobs so therefore they are richer. And nigeria is not a poor country but it has very greedy leaders who steal government money for their own use .i hope this changes your view of things

  • The second song is entitled: Makambo by a Ugandan artist named: Geoffrey Oryema. I got the song off an album I bought in South Africa: "The Great Pan-African Trip"

  • @fruitfulideas what are you trying to bring out from this video? help from the world!! this shows the extent of your stupidity. You promote racism against your own people by only reflecting on the negative side of your country. I don't see any reason to blame BBC for doing the same thing if a nigerian can be so foolish enough to say on youtube that his nation feeds on 50 cent a day. shame on you!!

  • i pray one day nigeria will get better. who sang that song not the first one but the second one. where can i get it?

  • dont cry here...go to the US embassy and spill your anger...visa munger

  • there is a nigerian student in my english class and he is probably the nicest person i have ever met

  • look at this yet the rulers of our country will send their children to a white man's country for schooling instead of investing in their own country
