The commentator was probably a judge in the past. You never know. Maybe that's why she points out the little things. But If she didn't point out those little "so called flaws" we wouldn't understand why he didn't receive 10's all the way across. But I know how you feel about the whole commentator thing because I had that kind of sinerio happen during the SoCal JC diving regionals with my reverse dive half twist. I should've done my forward one and a half full twist that day. Same DD anyway.

@meiyoong It's true, there was a flaw. I'm a He Chong fan too but I think that every sportsman should be receptive to his mistakes. :) But yeah I understand you, isn't he just like the best diver in the world? :D

i was not trying to deny his flaw... i know nothing about diving... i just hate how the commentator was trying to nitpick or find faults in his performance... she's just looking for bones in an egg...

@meiyoong lol, you know nothing about diving, so please shut up. Those flaws are there, and they're obvious. It's the judges that made the deductions, not the commentator.

@meiyoong the reason they do that is to tell people like you why they deducted a point or two here or there. All divers need to try to be perfect and in doing so they need to be told the flaws they have. I saw that too. A good coach (or commentator) needs to be nitpicky to do 2 things. 1. explain to the audience what happened and why they got the scores. 2. for coaches to actually coach.
