And just like that, an incredible artist with an amazing voice and a catalog of songs with GREAT hooks and riffs was universally sandbagged by supposed music experts who all had group-think mentality. Winger was unfortunately a little too outlandish just as glam was becoming a parody of itself and, despite being a great musician, he got thrashed thanks to a fucking gay cartoon.

Winger was a great band and this song is one of the best power ballads of the 80's, not just the melody, but the whole band projects their instrument in a crisp way, that attains of a classic song. I hope to see them again in concert, as they were exceptional when I saw them. Winger keep rocking, as you are one of the greatest bands in the 80's.
What you see in this song is the rare talent Winger had for mixing radio friendly (therefore 80s hit) with prog rock influences in the composition and not going for the mainstream metal/glam rock. Kip Winger studied classical music and his parents were jazz musicians. He has more in his repertoire than the cookie cutter rock of the day. I was only 4 years old when this song came out.

I like that . . .guitar shred. I am 58 and still tripping on these songs. I send URLs to my 20 year old daughter because it it really important to see this music. I asked her what is wrong with her generation, that they aren't protesting in the streets like we were (CSNY is more in that genre). This is the only history that means a damn to me.....
